The older Atomos Sumo 19 and 19M monitors are fantastic and colors are great ... BUT... this listing is likely not those models (even though the listing says so) since the 19 and 19M models were discontinued quite some time ago. This is likely a mis-listed Atomos Sumo "SE" model, which is in current production (as of Sept 2022}.knowing that, I believe Atomos has goofed on the SE version. I have several of the aforementioned Sumo19 and Sumo19M versions of this monitor and they are fantastic monitors that match perfectly with each other and with other professional monitors. BUT... this new SE model is SUPER orange ...basically balanced to tungsten color temp, with no way to adjust it out (tested using the exact same SDI signal looped to multiple monitors). I have now tried THREE different Sumo SE monitors (from different sellers both on and off Amazon) and all have been super orange to the point where even inexperienced clients immediately say "why is this so orange?" I don't know if it's a new "look" Atomos is trying out, or if the quality control has just gone terribly bad, but this is unfortunately unacceptable for a professional monitor (and even would be for a cheap consumer one). I even tried the $70 Atomos calibration cable paired with the X-Rite calibration sensor/software (which is sanctioned by Atomos), and still no luck. Had to return all 3 monitors (thankfully great return service from Amazon and the other seller). I hate to say this, but I'll probably have to switch to a different company until Atomos gets this issue corrected. If they DO get the color issue fixed, these would be otherwise great monitors, but with such bad color offset, they're just not usable in a professional environment. Please fix these SE monitors or bring back the older ones!

i had to go thru a dpzen emails with "customer support" to get a monitor that was glitchy fixed, even though it was less than a year old and had an "extended warranty " to 3 years. there is a phone number listed on atomos website , but no one ever answers the phone, and if u chose one of the options , the phone just disconnects. Then they said they would replace the screen protector that was on the sumo i sent in , since they had to replace the led panel to fix the sumo and the old panel had one of their screen protectors on it. after they told me via email they would send one, I've never seen it, I've never heard from them again and they wont reply to emails asking where it is. Sad excuse for support. If u purchase, just hope it doesnt ever have problems, even during the warranty

The spec says 1200 nits brightness but when you go into the settings it only let's you turn it up to 1000. Didn't think that would be a problem until we were on set and the client kept complaining that the screen was too dark. We flew a floppy and it helped but it was still difficult to see. Probably would not buy again and wouldn't advise my friends to buy this either.

Honestly this monitor did not disappoint, especially when you get to know how to control it properly it just works like a charm .

Update: 10/26/19I got an email from Atomos stating that this monitor will only do quad splits with cameras that have genlock. Yes all cameras would have to have genlock and that would still not guarantee a quad split. Otherwise you can spend an additional $500 for a splitter that they happen to sell which may or may not work too. They rep says they are working on a firmware fix that will allow any camera to work on their monitor, with or without genlock, but they’ve been saying that since 2017. In my opinion, not a reputable company. This is my first romp with Atomos. I’ve always known them to make cheap, flimsy products for kids getting out of film school. Well I visited their huge booth at NAB 2019 and they had the Sumo 19 out with a full quad split working. It looked really good and was sharper than my Flanders when doing a dual split. The rep never actually said that the ones they sell can do a quad split or record four channels through SDI. I just assumed that the one they were showcasing was the one they were selling. Stupid me.Long story short, it can only display one Picture at a time, like any monitor and it can only record one signal at a time. It does have four SDI ports, but those are just for show, I guess. From all the other reviews I’ve read on here, I’m not holding my breath for a firmware update that will deliver what they promised years ago.Stick with Flanders, Sony or TV Logic. You get what you pay for.

I haven't recorded with this monitor yet but it does make a pretty image! I highly suggest purchasing the C-Stand mounting bracket as well.
