These clips have good strong springs, but the clip is made of very thin sheet metal. Only time and use will determine if they will survive. I'm going to try them for work and see if they survive. I would probably look elsewhere for commercial grade clips if I had time, but I need clips right away.

I wanted large alligator clips for automotive batteries terminals that were snag free and insulated.These are snag free and insulated, but the pvc insulation prevents the clips from expanding to full size. In wrenching them on to the terminals, the metal of several bent.They have a screw and clamp for the wire, I used a ring terminal and 14 to 16ga wire. That end of the clamp was good.I tried cutting the insulation back and pulling out the clips before connecting them, then they open easily to full size. But this is no fun. And tends to produce sparks.You know how some things just feel and work right? These are meh. Squeezing them is the opposite of rewarding. They work. They are cheap. They don’t snag. They won’t last.I have ordered more expensive clamps through Amazon from Goupchn that connects with 4mm banana clips and are a different design. They might snag when dealing with lots of wire. And they cost over 2x as much. We will see.So if you like good kit, buy something else. But if you’re moving fast, gosh, still buy something else. Your life is too short.If you are ATOPLEE, you could make me happy with a clamp of this size that opened fully when squeezed without having to be removed from the insulation. Size it to fit on a lead acid positive terminal.As a kid, I played with little alligator clamps. They felt good to squeeze and could be used over and over without the metal twisting. I abused those things, something I found in the gutter.ATOPLEE, when you improve the design, give these to your sister’s kid and see if he pretends they are battle bots. If so—you got it. Cheers.

So far, these are the most well made clips I have found. Boots fit the clip, good spring tension. Lead time was a little long but was not important. The screw to attach the wire is very small. I did not want to solder it on so I used a ring terminal crimped on the wire, worked perfect. I'm happy
