We ended attaching it directly to the buoy and the anchor line. It was deployed as part of a scientific monitoring effort and has held up well so far - it's been out a bit over a month. Everything was still working well for our first retrieval and re-deployment. It was easy to set up and has held up to summer weather conditions in the center of a small lake in the Adirondacks.

I have been using to retrieve a 11 lbs Bruce anchor with 15 feet of 1/4 inch chain, using 2 fenders instead of a buoy and it works great every time. Why take more storage space oof the boat when you can use the fenders for double purpose.

These are very handy and work wonderfully in most situations, if you have a heavy anchor and chain you may need consider a larger version or a lager float.

Good product but throw away the chincey so called rope.I installed a webbed tie down strap in place of the rope. Now I am not worried about it breaking.Other than that it is great

Poly rope failed on first pull. Anchor went to bottom. Repair was Used 5/16” chain and a 5/16”carabiner to attach to an A4 poly ball to ring. Had to spread ring halves to remove anchor chain easier once anchor was in boat. 17.5lb grapple anchor rigged to trip using one 1/4” tie wrap. Keep anchor chain swivels as smooth as possible so chain pulls through ring smoothly as possible. Keeping pulling so poly ball goes under and pulsates up and down as chain goes through ring. Practice makes perfect👍

Great price and does the job. I should have bought one years ago.

Got this along with the Attwood 9” buoy to lift the anchor on my 17’ Boston Whaler and it works great. I’m older and had a hard time lifting the anchor back up so I just didn’t use it unless I had to. Now I drop it all the time to hold location while I’m fishing. Saves on fuel and hours on my engine. Way less than a windless and just as easy.

This did the job it was designed to do and seems like it's fairly sturdy. I am not a fan of the slick plasticky rope, but was able to securely tie it. I will update if the ring rusts or breaks, or if the rope fails.
