I had an aluminum alloy base plate to break in half. Replaced it with this steel base plate. This is much stronger, sturdy and easy to install. It does cost more.......as some say, you get what you pay for.

Greatest product : problem - the 3/4” nut is welded on crooked and will not let the post screw in more than a few turns and won’t let the post seat down tight!!

I had the regular pin mounts and just bought these because I'm tired of the other ones wobbling around these actually screw down and keep your seat in place and your pole won't wobble and wallow out the mount.

The nut was not on straight. I could get it to thread from the other side so it’s wasn’t stripped. Had to hacksaw it off and take it to work to get welded back on. Pain in the rear for $70

They need to set up a better jig for it when they weld the nut on!I bought 2 and the nuts were crooked,Had to get 2 new nuts and weld it on straight

Bought this to replace the bow mount on my 2015 RT188....worked great. The ONLY issue is the pedestal doesn't screw in all the way and is a B to remove. Has about a 1/4" gap between the bottom of the pedestal and the mount. It's not stripped so I'm guessing it's something to do with the nut that is welded onto the mount. But I fished out of it and there is not wobble and I believe it's far enough in to be OK. For the price I consider it a good product

I ordered these to replace the snap-lok pedestals that came with my boat. The old pedestals wobbled badly. These keep the seat post sturdy. As always, Amazon shipping was fast.
