Outputs: Reference your mixes on up to three sets of speakers, independently set and match volume for all speakers and audition and assign your sub to any monitor path. Nero also provides one dedicated monitor grade headphone amp and three foldback grade headphone amps, making sure you’re ready to take on the loudest of sessions with crystal clear headphone mixes.
Assignable Sub: Easily assign a sub to activate when switching to a monitor path of choice but maintain the ability to switch it on and off without losing your saved preset. Nero also lets you audition the sub on any alternative set of speakers without forcing you to assign it permanently.
Smart Touchpoints: Smart Touchpoints enable you to customize your workflow on the fly. Easily route and configure Nero’s outputs and monitor controls to create monitoring combinations that suit you. Simply hold down a Smart Touchpoint to put it into setup mode, select your routing options and press it again to save.
Console Style Monitor Control: Utilizing Audient’s vast experience in implementing monitor control in both recording consoles and desktop controllers, Nero features David Dearden designed circuitry as well as a range of advanced monitor controls.

E' ottimo ma potrebbe essere migliorato parecchio, si può trimmare il volume di ogni uscita ma NON del sub, questa è una grossa limitazione perchè se si vuole utilizzare il sub con casse diverse andrebbe regolato a sua volta. Alcune funzionalità sono inutili come le 4 cuffie con uscite indipendenti e selezionamento programmabile, un pochino troppo per il target, magari un ingresso in più, una uscita amp cuffie e una uscita casse in più avrebbe fatto molto meglio. Non aspettatevi livelli di trimming elevati, il range è piuttosto basso. La qualità del suono è perfetta, ho registrato l'uscita e invertito la fase con il segnale originale, amplificandolo al massimo, nessuna differenza, segno che il progetto è notevole.

My second one just bit the dust after three months… It was a replacement for the first one. Loud pop, then the right side went dead. I wanted to love this unit so bad, it sounds so good… But somethings not right.

Great build and construction. Awesome set of easy straightforward controls. Sounds great and really ups the game of my studio and productions. Wish I had purchased sooner. Priced right, lower then most of the competition.

I had been using a Mackie "Big Knob" prior to upgrading to the Audient Nero. The reason I chose this unit is that I had read that it has a microprocessor-controlled fader that allows for even trim of the volume at all levels. If you've used a Big Knob or similar passive monitor controller, you know that when the volume gets low, one channel fades out before the other. That problem does not exist at all with this device. Also, the digital ins (coaxial and toslink optical) allow me to select inputs from my CD player or my audio interface very easily. I love this little box and couldn't be more happy with its performance. For the price, you can't beat it! It's also one of the few controllers that has THREE sets of monitor outputs, which allows me to easily switch between midfield and nearfield monitors in my studio. Buy this unit! It's awesome.

The unit is functional as a switcher, although it causes loud on/off pops that my other monitor switchers do not cause. You will likely need an after market power supply to have a reasonable length cable. 4.5 feet is unreasonably short. In this price range, little things like potentially damaging pops and an extremely short power cable add up to dissatisfaction.
