While this cartridge is designed to play 78 RPM Mono records, It is, nevertheless, a stereo cartridge, allowing users to choose between the left and right channels, which can be especially helpful in archiving applications to minimize noise and distortion. The durable, low-resonance Housing includes threaded inserts that enable the cartridge to be mounted to the head shell with just two screws - no nuts required. And since all VM95 Series share the same body, The stylus can be replaced with any of the six interchangeable at-vmn95 Replacement styli.

Was using an older Pickering cartridge with a knock off 78 RPM needle. What a difference this new cartridge makes! Well worth the money.

Very good help from Customer Support, and excellent sound from my circa 1940s shellac 78s!

Few are the folks who listen to 78RPM records I do occasionally. The vast majority of cheapo turntables are garbage. We acquired a PE 3060, a fine old turntable with 78RPM. 78's require a 3 mil stylus, they should NEVER be played with a needle intended for Microgroove recordings. The AT-VM95SP solved my problems, it sounds great, and tracks perfectly. Mounting the AT-VM95SP was not easy requiring additional hardware. Most newer Turntables won't be a problem. Further the AT-VM95 line has a good variety of styli for modern LPs available at reasonable cost. I love AT.

Specifically bought this to use on my my vintage 78 rpm records because it is made for them. So far fantastic.

78 RPM MM cartridge improving the sound of your 78 albums. If you are planning to expand your record collection to include 78 RPM albums, this is a must improvement to play 78s.

Works great for 78 records. I installed it on a Duel 1019 turntable from the 60s. Playing records from the 40s.

Gutes und preiswertes Schellacksystem. Klanglich sehr gut. Der Preis ist mehr als gerechtfertigt. Der Generator entspricht allen anderen aus der VM95-Reihe. Wer bereits ein AT-VM95 für Microrille besitzt kann auch nur die Nadel kaufen. TopTeil!

The VM95SP is just a stereo cartridge with a 3 mil conical stylus. Unless you have a way of summing the channels, this cartridge won't send a mono signal to both speakers.

Good quality and sound. Take the time to correctly setup the angle of the cartridge because it makes a big difference.
