For what it costs, Auto Meter could have made the wire 2 feet longer so it could be hooked up. I really don’t think it would bankrupt them. Installed on a Silverado, pretty common vehicle. Really, Auto Meter? Why so cheap?

I bought both an oil pressure and temperature gauge set from Auto Meter. The temp one works great, and is a small 1/8" NPT connector that fits in my remote oil filter mount for my C5 Corvette race car's dry sump setup. The problem is, the oil pressure one has a massive transducer that needs to be screwed into the same mount. It's too large and the neck isn't long enough to clear the remote oil filter mount's dimensions. I wanted this to work, but it won't fit. I'm going to have to look at alternatives. I can only give 3/5 stars because of the unexpected and unmentioned size of the transducer unit that plugs into your oil system. I'm sure it works great otherwise. Just be aware!

The sender is large & heavy. My 240SX's the Ka 24de twin cam 16 valve vibrates a lot.We installed the sender w/ orig warning sender on a T fitting, on a brass pipe nipple to the engine block.The vibration & sender mass fractured the brass pipe nipple at the block.Senders are now fender-mounted w/ SS jacketed oil line to block.Digital readout is too bright at night for mounting atop dash, so I mounted gauge on console.There it is readable, but not blinding or distracting.Seems accurate. When the pipe fractured, the oil pressure reading fell quickly to 4 PSI.

Have it mounted on top of the dash on my rally cross VW Super Beetle. Works great, installed with no problems. Hope if I lose oil pressure again I will notice before the motor siezes!

Fairly basic meter. Reads up to 100 psi. Components felt high quality. Install obviously depends on vehicle.

These match my factory Subaru STi gauges perfectly and this was much cheaper than most premium gauges. I researched gauges for a few months before purchase and these are the best quality for the price.
