In general cars, the indicator light on means OFF, and the indicator light off means ON.
Find the original car plug switch interface, and the original car start and stop switch button can be transferred.
3 modes Introduction:
1.Auto-off mode: every time the car is started, the start-stop will be automatically turned off. If it is manually turned on in the middle, it will still be turned off after the car is turned off and locked.
2.Memory mode: Manually switch the start-stop switch once, and the start-stop state will be saved and memorized,and will not be affected by power failure.
3.Service mode (original factory mode): Start-stop treasure does not work by default, the effect is the same as the original car.
The mode switching method:
The mode switching method adopts the 3+X method to switch.
1. Turn off the start and stop first, wait for more than three seconds.
2. Press the start-stop switch three times in succession (after pressing it, the start-stop is turned on, wait for it to automatically turn off).
3. Immediately after the start-stop is automatically closed, press the start-stop switch three (or two or four times) consecutively,and then wait for the indicator to reverse. Then enter the automatic shutdown mode (or memory mode, original factory mode).
Note:
That this cable has only one mode：Memory mode.
It can be inserted directly for use normally, but professional installation is highly recommended to avoid problems of inoperability due to improper installation.

Installed this over a month ago and it has worked as designed. If you’re not handy, maybe watch a YouTube video on removing the trim/console piece before attempting. It is actually very easy but requires applying force in the correct spot to avoid breaking any plastic. Remove trim piece, remove two screws (T25 if I remember correctly), remove button trim piece just enough to unplug the connector and install the jumper. Tuck it away, reinstall everything and you’re good to go. I leave the auto start/stop off all the time so all I had to do was turn it off once and now every time I turn the car on, the auto start/stop is deactivated. I saw somebody comment about it not working with remote start but I haven’t had that issue. I have the VW factory remote start and it still works when I use that as well as when I start it through the VW app. Overall, highly recommended.

Tiguan R Line 4Motion 2023=Funktioniert. Etwas fummeln weil wenig Platz ist in der Konsole. Es muss nur der Deckel der Gangschaltung ab. Der Schalter geht mit Gefühl auch raus.

Works great really easy to install just pop off the trim piece and plug and playOne thing is if you use your auto start then get in with the auto start still running it will not revert to what you have it set at for some reason, not their fault for sure just some fun VW thing, but if you start your car by the start button it works

This product works great, but I only gave 4 stars because no installation instructions were included.It would be great if an installation video was also available. After installation, the system will remember whatever setting you select from the A button remain in effect next time the vehicle is started. The system can be engaged or disabled anytime you press the A button and remain that way each time you restart the vehicle.

easy install on 2021 VW tiguan. Open where the button is by pressing the entire unit upward and then install this unit. Only problem is the space. Had to wiggle the unit around to fit below the button which took me a while. But after that install, works perfectly.
