Installs exactly as shown in the product video on our 2019 Subaru Forester. Always hated that feeling of insecurity when your engine stops in the middle of waiting to make a left turn and since the car always defaults to "stall mode", I would always forget to turn it off. I'm sure the constant stopping and starting has to be hard on the starter and battery as well. I've replaced one battery already. This switch fixes all that, as it defaults to "no stall mode". Totally awesome! 5+ stars!

This auto-stop-start eliminator works great in a 2023 Forester Sport. The switch matches the OEM switch both in button style and build. After starting the vehicle, within 4-5 seconds, the dashboard auto-stop-start light automatically changed to orange (auto-stop-start=off). Fantastic!Only feedback is installation. In the product's instruction video, it seems to be for a 2019-2021 Forester where the button panel can easily pop off from the front. That doesn't *seem* to be the case for the 2022-2024 models. However, using a plastic trim removal, pop the plastic panel off to the left, adjacent to the switch panel. It's a separate piece lightly held in by 4-5 clips. That exposes a single screw. Remove that, tug lightly and the interior trim surrounding the switch panel will pop almost all of the way off. It continues going under the steering wheel and towards the center console, but don't need to fully remove it to get to the switch clips. From there, the rest of the steps matches the video to swap the switch.I was worried this particular model switch would interfere with the Reverse Assist Breaking option available on some Foresters, as I've seen in reviews for other auto-stop-start eliminators. But that is not the case here, it works great with the RAB.

Easy to install. It worked the first time then rarely again. Sometimes it would work when I started my car, but later in the trip stop working. Save your money and find another product.

This thing was literally a snap to install, less than 10 mins. Just a hand-full of clips and one screw, fits perfectly, looks and functions the same as the rest of buttons, but with one exception, it won’t default to auto stop when we restart car. (The reason we bought it)

Exact match, can’t notice a difference from the OEM except that ridiculous gimmicks to meet cafe standards are no longer killing my car parts due to auto start/stopping the engine.

As advertised this switch eliminates the Auto stop start feature if desired. Illuminates red just like the factory buttons on that accessory panel and I would be quite surprised if the dealership even notices that it's no longer stock. I drive professionally in my car everyday and this switch is an absolute game changer for me. I'd love to see one offered for the overhead coalition button as well.

Super easy install, once you find the clips that release the button panel. The swap out is quick. The entire thing took me 10 minutes, but that’s because I had to find the clips. Now, I could do the swap in less than 2 minutes. Please note, that every time you start your car, the eliminator takes about 3-5 seconds to show up correctly on your dash indicator. Not a big deal at all, but I thought I would mention it. The product works exactly as it should. I will update this review if I have any problems with it in the future.

Little tricky popping the clips out of the oem. But it works! The car starts with auto stop enabled, button turns it off a couple seconds later. Works so far! Expensive for what it is but it fits and no one else makes one.

I will qualify this by saying I’m a novice at this stuff, but, if you know what you’re doing, I’m sure it would be easy to implement this very elegant solution to the much hated Auto Stop/Start. First step, easy to remove the fuse cover. Second step can be easy once you realize the location of the clips that hold the panel of buttons. There is a clip at the middle of the bottom of the panel (see photo), and there are clips on each side of the panel. Just pushing on the middle clip wasn’t enough for me to push out the panel. I also had to push on one of the side clips as well, and that did the trick. It’s really hard to see these looking from underneath via the fuse area, so I suggest you just feel for them. Third step is easy to remove the wire plug from the button. Just use that small screwdriver to depress the visible notch. Forth step is where I had a problem removing the original button. I kept pressing and pressing the area shown in the video without results. I finally realized that if I used the small screwdriver to gently lift up the plastic clip surrounding the notch, the button would come loose. There’s also another notch on the opposite side of the button you can gently release in this way too. Fifth step is easy to insert the new button and then reattach the wire plug. Sixth step is easy too, just push the entire button panel back in place and then replace the fuse box cover, and you’re done! The button/device works great, really the opposite of the original. You never have to press it again unless you want to turn Auto S/S back on. I think this solution is the best one of all the ones available on the Internet.
