Please don’t be like everyone else and just buy a new compressor when My air conditioning compressor started acting up making me wait three or 4 miles before it would start to get cold the auto parts store told me there was no option for that solenoid valve The dealership also mentioned that they can’t get the valve either just a $600 compressor my buddy who helps me from time to time work on some vehicles when I get behind tells me to just buy a new compressor and get it over with but if you are patient and you do like I did and call Wolfsburg tuning out of Florida directly you can get them to tell you a part number or tell you the exact one they have for sale which is this one for my car and it’s much much cheaper than spending 600 for a new compressor

If your ac slowly started quitting , or would take longer to cool down this is your problem 8/10 times. My Jetta always took about 3-5 minutes to start getting cold then eventually it just quit. Freon levels were in spec and even did a full evac, vacuum and charge to verify no leaks and proper Freon levels. This part takes 10 minutes to install (AFTER removing the Freon from the system) take it to someone who can pull a vacuum and remove any trapped air. (Do not try and just add Freon after you will over pressurize the system) now the AC turns on right away and blows consistently 41-45 degrees out the vents even at 98 degrees outside sitting in traffic.

Installed it to fix intermittent AC problems on my Jetta 2006 and it fixed the issue. It is almost 4 months since the repair and so far so good!
