Didn't even last one season. The teeth that comes out when you pull the cord both snapped right off after a handful of uses. Save your money and buy an OEM if available

I found this to be a good fit for my John Deere TRX26 snowblower with 8HP Tecumseh Snow King motor. Unfortunately durability is questionable. It worked great for the first year but then would pull out and not rewind. I found the plastic hub / pawl had come apart in the recoil / split. Not sure the reason it broke, but at this price its an easy changeout repair. I would like to see this last as long as the OEM part.

Not an exact replacement for my Snapper 8hp 2 older two stage snowblower but it fits fine. Numerous mounting holes allows to match up with your existing machines mounting positions. Easy to install and looks to be moderately well built. For sure, if you can afford the “down time” on your machine, this is the way to go rather than installing a new rope. Delivery in less than 5 days.

States for a generator but fits same manufacture 25 ton log splitter by drilling two of the three holes needed to bolt up. It was 1/2 the price of the one for the log splitter. Weird huh.

Broke the pull cord on my Ariens 932104-8524 snowblower (Tecumseh HMSK 80-110 engine) after 15 years of use. Saw some videos online on how to fix the pull cord myself (in like 20-30 minutes), but decided instead to just buy this reasonable priced recoil pull starter replacement unit for under $25. Existing unit just pops off with 4 nuts (3/8" on my unit I think), pop new unit on in same orientation (pull cord in the top right) with same 4 nuts ... done in 5 minutes. Pulled once successfully before putting snow blower away for the season. It does seems a little less well made than the OEM equipment, but you can't beat this replacement unit for the price. I kept the original OEM unit with broken cord for backup if needed. Gave it the benefit of the doubt with 5 stars instead of 4.
