Bought this to transfer gas from the 5 gallon cans to my vehicles. During hurricane Milton, I lost power to the house. Had bought 50gallons of gas to run the generator. This was prior to buying this pump. Twice a day, I had to pick up the cans of gas and pour into the generator fuel tank. Kept thinking "I wish I had a transfer pump". I had just bought another 50 gallons of gas a week afterwards and as I was preparing to fill the generators tank again, the power came back on. I used the extra gas in my vehicles. Getting this pump sure made the transfer so much easier.

Now before I go crazy on this review, caution is needed on what you are actually filling. This is a great pump but CAUTION, do not use on small engines! Have one for the diesel containers, and one for the gas. My diesel subcompact, no stinking way am I going to be able to hold a 5gal jug up by steering wheel to fill up tank. This pump is a back saver. Now this is equipped with a pressure shutoff feature that will automatically turn off pump when tank your filling gets full. You do need to hold hose up in air for gas to drain back down into container otherwise you will make a very big mess. Do not use on small engines! This pump is way overkill to fill a push mower. As soon as is started to pump, the tank was full (almost overflowing). I was caught off guard. It is best not to use this with tanks smaller than 2 gallons. Topping off my wheelhorse tractor is a breeze now. The push mower, I will now transfer gas to the 2.5 gallon container so I can control flow better. But this is a great pump. It does come with different adapters to attach it to the container.

The product works on 4 x AA batteries. When we opened the battery compartment, only 2 sections had the spring at the negative terminal rendering it useless. While Amazon were fantastic at refunding our money ( thank you 😊), we really wanted this product and would have loved to have been offered a replacement with a functional battery compartment. Just unsure whether to order it again in case the issue is widespread. Some feedback would be greatly appreciated.

arrived quickly and in original packaging. worked even better than hoped. what a back saver. use it to pump diesel into my small tractor. will pump 5 gallons very quickly. works very well for my needs. my neighbor bought one as well after seeing mine.

Work great for transferring gasoline, but appears to leak gas out of the battery unit when pulled out of the can and set on the bench. I did completely drain all of the hoses and let it hang till dry, and it’s still leaks semi dried up fuel out of the battery case. Unfortunately I missed the return window.

I grew tired of using the stupid 'safety' and/or 'save the environment' nozzles that 9 out of 10 times would spill gas everywhere (defeating the purpose of said nozzle). Additionally, grew tried of lifting 5 Gallon jugs to fill my mower(s). This has made filling mowers much much easier and less aggravating. The piece that goes into the tank is a tight fit for the newer gas jug (gets caught on some ridges). But on my older jug, it fits in no problem.

Pros - It pumps a large volume of fuel quickly and senses when full to shut off. So far so good. This device works best on large fuel tanks like my lawn tractor.Cons - Fuel pressure is not regulated. Full on or full off only. You can pulse but on a small gas tank like my weed whacker the volume is too high to not splash fuel.I have a vertical Jerry style gas can. One of the adapters fit it but the draw tube does not reach the bottom as I would like and I cannot see any way to adjust it. I cope with it as when the device no longer draws I remove it and manually dump the rest. On a standard fuel tank I assume this would be less of an issue. I am happy that I bought this as it makes refueling with a full heavy gas can much easier. The product would be greatly improved with variable flow control like a squeeze handle.

This thing surprised me immediately as to how quiet and how fast it pumps fuel. The auto stop works well too!
