The transmission end of the cable wouldn't stay on the linkage lever. It seemed to be cocked a little and upside-down. Inner cable would not rotate to correct the position and alignment, as the original GM one does. Ended up buying the more expensive factory GM cable, locally, because I needed it to be completed the same day as when I started replacement. For now, only use the original GM transmission shift cable, to save time. It is available here.

We order this part for are GMC envoy put on 4 days agos. went to a meal that supports the town we live in ended up calling a tow because it came of .defective part cost 200 for towing ruined are night do not order this part

Out of the box this cable looks almost identical the the OEM cable in my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. The only real noticeable difference is the tip of the portion that connects to the side of the transmissions doesn't have a spring in it like the OEM cable does. It seems to be built solid.Anyway, I went through the hassle of swapping it out, and it ALMOST fits perfect.. The portion that goes under then car and attaches to the bracket before feeding to the lever on the transmission is too long, by like 1/4th an inch. The tip of the cable is supposed to give you some play to adjust the installation, so everything is snug.. But even on the shortest setting, the cable is too long to allow the level on the side of the transmission to shift into the last position (2nd gear) .. Which I wouldn't care about.. but because its misaligned, the shifter doesn't lock when it changes gears.. and that's a safety thing hazard.i might try to get under there and try something crafty to move this cable back just a bit.. but i honestly should just tear it out and start over with an OEM cable.
