Tips:
Just after the battery is connected, it is normal for the daytime running light to turn on for about 15s and then turn off the light (to realize the delay function). After that, you need to start the car. When the voltage reaches 13V +, you can start to work!

I’ve been using several of these DRL controllers for years, and they’ve proven to be an affordable and reliable solution for wiring LED daytime running lights (DRLs) into vehicles. The installation is straightforward: it connects directly to the vehicle's battery terminals (+ and -). The controller automatically turns the connected LEDs on when the engine starts and the battery voltage exceeds 14V (indicating the alternator is charging). It also turn the LEDs off about two minutes after the engine is turned off, once it detects a voltage drop.One important observation is that this controller works best with older or simpler vehicle electrical systems. On newer vehicles equipped with Electric Power Management (EPM) systems, which use Regulated Voltage Control (RVC) to optimize battery performance, the controller may not function as expected. The EPM system’s dynamic voltage adjustments can prevent the DRL controller from reliably detecting the voltage thresholds it needs to operate.For newer vehicles, I recommend looking into can-bus-compatible DRL modules or controllers designed to handle the variable voltage conditions introduced by advanced EPM systems.Highly recommended!
