Worked ok initially, but then the app forced a firmware update that made changing settings impossible. Resetting didn't fix it.

It was not easy for me to set up this router. My smartphone could not detect the AX1800 network to start the setup with the Rock WiFi app. I hence ended up buying an extra long (30 ft) Ethernet cable for connecting my bulky desktop computer in another room to the router in order to finish the setup. Then when I tried to update the router’s firmware, I learned that I need to download the latest firmware file first, but where to do so safely?On the other hand, thus far this router, with 4 antennas each of thumb size thickness, has been working faster than my old one.

Buying this product increased both my connection and the speed of my wifi. It has two separate wifi's so you can use both with no loss of connection or speed. It is however a pain to hook up but well worth it. I've never had more stable connection.

I had no trouble getting this router to work and I have good uplink/downlink speeds through it. Also, I have good signal strength on the 5Ghz band--better than my cable modem. I got this router on sale for $50 shipped which makes it a great bargain. I'm taking 1 star away for a manual that's a little too sparse and slightly buggy user interface. I'd buy again.

The router works well with my multiple wifi equipment that is utilizing it, but the app that they recommend to download for it is dead, the app is supposed to allow you access to the router to control, everything about it, but the only thing the app does is tell you about their products, it always brings up a server not available message. I have had to reset the router several times due to slow performance, The only way to access the router is threw a direct link with a ethernet cable and that was difficult. I had to Google the instructions on how to do it.

I was looking for a router with 802.11ax capability, and I'm glad I went with this one. It's pretty sturdy in looks as well as in operation. It starts up pretty quickly, which is pretty handy in case of routine reboots. The signal strength and speed are pretty strong across my entire house.
