Key point: longer thread means a secure plant hook. Wider hook allows a plastic pot from the nursery or grocery market to securely hook on without using a wire to make a loop. I wish I had these years ago. Hardware stores just don't have anything near to this size thread and quality hook. It has a nice long thread and securely screws into the 2x4 that is underneath the overhang so my plants have a secure hook. Excellent!

This attractive piece of hardware is simple and elegant, and everything I needed to adhere my curtain tiebacks to. Having search "curtain tieback hardware" what populated were crazy looking designs that would've competed with the beauty of my authentic Moroccan silver pendant-curtain tiebacks. After a lot of frustration I redid my search for eye-hook hardware instead, in a gold color, the same as my kitchen cabinet handles & curtain rod. Although I'm still figuring out how much tension to use for the tiebacks, these eye-hooks are perfect because they're unobtrusive and frankly get camouflaged by the curtain fabric. Voilà!As for installation ease, I had my handyman do it, which he easily did using drill, tape measure, pencil floor dust protector, and in one case, his plastic screw-cover for an area that had no supporting post within. It took him about 5 minutes per screw.
