You can’t install the seal correctly with this tool, it’s worth it

I bought it on the recommendation of forum and message boards. No regrets. Glad I did. Sometimes a specialized tool is just worth it. This one is.

Heavily made, we pounded it with heavy shop hammer, just scratched the finish on the tool. Great machining, easy to use, does wonderful job installing seals and axle on 2003 F250. Saves lot of time, keeps seals in tact. Money and time saver. Fast shipping.

THE PICTURES ARE MISS LEADING. WHEN I DROVE THE SEAL IN ACCORDING TO THE PICTURES THAT ARE POSTED. THE SEAL WAS NOT DEEP ENOUGH FOR THE SNAP RING TO SEAT. I ENDED UP REMOVING THE AXLE AND USING THE TOOL TO SEAT THE SEAL AND WHEN AXLE WAS INSTALLED I WAS ABLE TO INSTALL THE SNAP RING.

The fault, if any, is in how ridiculous that U must beat on this, in order to install the large vacuum seal, on a Dana 60 front Live Axle(my FORD anyway, has this axle). Despite how much that the tool was beat on, it held up well. I am considering reaming out the other bracket, before even attempting to seat that large Vacuum seal. It is beyond silly, how much effort to install. And I greased the seal AND the bracket, beforehand. I called Timken, my hub bearing maker, and was told that they used Lithium based grease, on MY hubs. So I felt comfortable adding a little of the same type of grease.
