I like that it's metal and feels strong. It stays where you put it, too. My son ran all over the place and it did not fall down nor loosen the entire day. It goes pretty good with his belt buckle, too.

Got this for hubby to wear to my company's annual shindig. It's a wild west theme and this will be perfect for the occasion. Seems well made and doesn't look cheap. The price is comparable to the quality of materials. This is a great buy for a novelty themed event.

It looks good but when I wor it for the first time the Bullskull got stock on the "leather" string. So I couldn't get it of again.. And I had to remove it by force so it broke..

This bolo tie is exactly as pictured and exactly what I was expecting! The gold longhorn design is sharp and detailed, giving it a classic cowboy look. I wear ties daily, but this is my first bolo tie. Assess the value of this review accordingly.When the tie first arrived, there were lots of kinks in the cord, so I hung it up for a couple of weeks, letting gravity and humidity straighten out the leather cord. The cord has nice metal tips that not only help to weigh it down a bit, but clink a bit when you walk as they bounce against each other.The buckle really is good looking! It stays in place, seems to retain its shine, and hangs evenly on the cord. However, the back clasp seems to not only get caught in the cord, but shift and bend, and need to be readjusted. I don't know if that's a buckle quality issue or a cord quality issue, but it is a bit annoying.Unfortunately, the cord is not quite as tightly braided as I would have hoped, which I think is why the buckle keeps getting caught. Were it not for that, I would have given this tie 5 stars.

Love the bolo, scorpion is a little chunkier than in the photo but it's got a nice shine and for the price I love it.

I liked the look of this bolo the first time I saw it. But it is hard to assess how anything will actually look until you hold it in your hand. And on that note, it felt hefty for its size and the slide and tips are clearly made from metal. The claim is there are no harmful metals in it which is at least a good sentiment. But nothing feels, looks, or sounds like plastic. The cord is identified as leather in the description. I can’t say for sure that is isn’t, but to me it doesn’t have the feel of genuine leather. Frankly, I don’t much care about that. The cord looks fine and certainly seems quite strong and pliable. The clasp on the slide is easy to use and locks down nice and tight once it’s set. I don’t think you will have to worry about it slipping.It doesn’t take my breath away, thus the four stars instead of five. But it has a nice look, is user friendly, and isn’t tacky or cheap looking. I’m an old cowhand who has worn western gear for a long time. I would definitely consider getting another one of the bolos put out by this company.Stay in the saddle, partner, and be careful around the bull.

The cross is 2" tall x 1-5/8" wide.The braided necklace is sized accordingly - about 3.3mm thick. I think it will wear well.The cross and tails are a bit bright for my style, but that's obviously personal. If it matches your style, then it works.

The metal buckle itself is beautiful and very unique, and the silver tips match perfectly. However, the braid/cord is very cheap and plasticky. I’ve been unable to get it to straighten out after several days weighing it down, so I’m going to have to remove the buckle and tips and replace the cord with something nicer. It’s a shame because otherwise it’d be five stars.
