  • Extruded monofilament with an octagonal profile
  • Max tension 66 lbs.

A durable co-poly string offering excellent access to spin. The slick surface of RPM Blast allows the main strings to slide out of alignment, grab the ball and then snap back to add spin to the shot. RPM Blast offers a softer feel compared to traditional polyester monofilaments. Also a tad softer than Pro Hurricane Tour, RPM Blast is an ideal choice for big hitters seeking maximum control and spin.

I use the 2023 Babolat Pure Aero tennis racquets; I have three of them. The RPM Blast 17 gauge give me good feel and control while enabling me to hit with spin or flat balls.I play every day for 5 hours a day: M-F.I have intense hitting workouts with my coach and hitting partners whose skills range from former ATP and former WTA players to former and current collegiate Div 1 players to 5.0 USTA tournament players; hence, my strings are really put under some heavy-hitting pressure. With the RPM Blast 17 gauge, I seem to be getting ~three weeks before the main strings pop at the center.Tension seems to hold up for about three weeks if they don’t pop. After three weeks, I can notice notches and loss tension; so, I send my racquet(s) to my stringer to cut the strings and replace them. For me, the RPM Blast 17 gauge works great for my stroke production with decent durability based upon the environment of which the strings are exposed.I purchased these strings from Amazon via Tennis Spectrum.Tennis Spectrum provided me with excellent customer service; and, they quickly ship the products out.Today, is 3-April-2023, and I placed my order for three packs of Babolat RPM Blast 17 Gauge, and Tennis Spectrum shipped my order within 30 mins. Excellent service — thank you, Tennis Spectrum; I’m a repeat customer, as this is my second order from you.Check 6!/s/ Alfonso Faustino

This string is very durable and does not move around a lot because it has flat edges. I never have to adjust the string pattern during play. It allows me to create both spin and power. I recommend no more than 50 lbs tension.

These have to be my favourite strings. I've found that they seem to last a lot longer than other strings because they seem to be able to slide over each other with less resistance. The strings are always straight because they snap right back into place after each shot, so you're not feeling the need to "click" them back after each rally.*Update* the last lot lasted about 5 months. I play 3 - 5 times a week and over the course of 2 years now have only managed to get through 5 lots of string. These last for ages.

I played with RPM Blast 17 gauge for a couple of years and I loved it. During that time I never broke a string which made me to go down to 18 gauge for more control. Good decision! It gave me a bit more control, spin and pop and I am yet to break a string. BUT compared to the previous strings I used (NXT, Luxilon Big Banger, etc.), this string loses tension a bit faster which makes me lose control and hit shots long. So I have to change them after 6-7 hours of play. Overall, I love the string, the feel is decent (not as good as NXT but better than Big Banger) and when you hit the sweet spot, it feels great. I will not change to anything else anytime soon. BTW, My racket is Wilson BLX Pro staff 90 and I string it at 58 lbs.

I usually don't follow trends and jump on the next big and/or best thing. However, I've been wanting some more in my tennis game that when I asked my tennis pro friend what to try. He said one big factor in one's game is the strings and he recommended me to try different strings and tension combinations. I experimented on a few strings (Goosen, Ashaway, Tecnifibre, Babolat) and found that the RPM Blast provided me the spin, power and control I needed to improve on my game and find the consistency I'm looking for. I'm not a hard hitter and hit a long swinging topspin motion but my playing partners say that my returns have more pace and spin since using the RPM Blast string. The difference is such that they also wanted to try what I'm using and they re-strung their racquets with the RPM Blast. I found myself a string that I will use all throughout my tennis life with the Babolat RPM Blast!!! Cheers!

I love that the octagonal shape of the strings keeps them from sliding around! No more wasting time in between points putting them back in place and much more spin on the ball. Of course I would love for them to keep the tension for a while longer but given their durability, something has to give...

I have just had my Wilson K factor racket re-strung with the excellent Babolat RPM Blast strings, supplied by Tennisolo on Amazon. The product arrived quickly and as advertised unpacked and to length ready for re-stringing 1 racket. This cost proved to be extremely economical too just £9.99 for the string including P&P a substantial saving on most retail, even though a small order quantity. The string, played by Raphael Nadal last season, and "The hot string" last year, was for many tour players the best new thing. All I can say, is that for me it beat the factory fitted strings hands down, for "Feel" and "Touch" as well as having a great feel on ball contact whilst serving and returning. Topspin control seems excellent whilst not feeling "Sticky" or stripping the hair of the ball, clean yet sufficiently elastic and with control. This string takes a lot of beating in my opinion and is equal to all a modern player would ask. There are other "Grippier" wound strings out there, but when you are playing the variety of shots needed in most modern tennis games, why compromise other playability features just for one? No doubt in my mind this is a great string. My other rackets are at the stringers now! Excellent product excelent price.

The string delivers on Babolat's claim to power, maybe not so much on spin. The first day I used it, I did feel the string was harder as I felt more of a sting in my hand and wrist, but not my elbow or shoulder. I have used the string for a week now, and I don't feel any pain during or after play. As for improved play, I would say I am surprised that I am returning serve so much better--balls are finally landing in the court. The string is an improvement over the Pro Hurricane Tour for power, maybe spin, but not softness. The feel seems diminished from the PHT to the RPM Blast. Still, the transition to this string was easy and worthwhile. I am keeping more balls in play. I was concerned when Tsonga and Roddick stopped using the RPM Blast string (or so it seems from recent pictures), but the concern was unfounded. The string performs well.

Yes this string provides a little more power then most strings. A nice feature of the string is that they do not separate much even in a open stringing pattern. The Hex surface is not very visible. The strings have a decent amount of control if I apply spin to my spots. I've been using the string for several weeks of heavy play and the durability seems very good. I'm a tournament player in the seniors using a Wilson BLX 95 6.1. I strung the racquet at 54lbs. next time I would sting it a couple pounds tighter since it does loosen a bit. Next time maybe I will use a hybrid with Luxilon rough and RPM.
