This ballet skirt is a purple (with a bit of red in the color shade) polyester. It has only a tiny amount of stretch in it, so don't expect it to be stretchy. The design is a wraparound skirt which has a satin ribbon sewn at the top, which has an extra 23" of ribbon on each side of the skirt for you to tie to secure the skirt on yourself.The ballet skirt's Amazon page says that the skirt is 13.78" long. Actually, it's 12 1/2." You wouldn't think that just over an inch of length would make that much difference, but it does. This skirt just doesn't hang as far down as I expected it to. It will work for the classes I ordered it for, but it just isn't quite as long as I thought it would be. The skirt does work well in the wraparound style and does feel secure on.

It's pretty cute for dancing if you are wearing some shorts under, but realistically it's like a 1$ piece of fabric to wrap around your waist. It feels cheap, I feel like I'd buy this for 3$ at dollarama. No double lining or anything; ill probably cut it up for sewing :3

At the time of ordering this, the description indicates that this is one size fits all for adults. At 13 inches in length at the very longest point. it is child size. I expected it to be like a wrap beach sarong, and it is, it's a wrap skirt, but it is incredibly short. The ribbons on each side are the same length, which makes it difficult to wrap, and they are made of actual satin ribbon, with a raw edge that is already unravelling. I tried this on my petite 12 year old to be sure, and it barely covers her bottom in a leotard, and they are meant to fall below it as a cover up. It does fit my 8 year old more reasonably. If this were advertised for children, which I expect it will be modified to, it would be easier to ignore the unravelling ribbon. (hold the edge near a lit candle for a fraction of a section and it will seal the end)

I ordered 6 for a dance class. They are a Beautiful color and great price. My dancers loved them and they fit all of them even though they’re different sizes )due to the tie style). It’s a very deep red, so it may be tricky to match exactly to other reds, but it’s gorgeous. Quality fabric and hangs well!
