I've been a big fan of good quality headphones for most of my life to the point my wife says I've got an addiction. I had been looking into getting a pair that were Dolby Atmos compatible as there is a good selection of Atmos audio on Tidal now. These sound pretty good, great detail, clear sound and although not mega loud they are loud enough and also comfy enough for listening for long periods.I read other users comments regarding ANC and volume being too low but I think they are fine. I have a 7.1 home cinema setup in my living area and my wife was watching a movie and I could not hear any of it. Even without any sound the headphones fit well that it keeps external sound down.Usually for listening to music I use my AKG K702 on an iFi Zen DAC (sometimes Sennheiser HD650) and even though my Beoplay Portal hasn't burned in properly yet there are details on some of my favourite tracks that I haven't noticed before (non Atmos tracks) and i can see these being my new favourites.I would have preffered the Navy ones but it was going to take another week, ordered the grey (which were even cheaper) and they actually look really good (better than the image). The seller for these are Only Branded and mine came brand new and sealed. If your looking for a wired / Bluetooth / Xbox Wireless headphone for music or gaming I would say look no further, it's a good buy especially at this price

Oh I was a little skeptical of this headset. Mainly because of the price point. I was very lucky and actually got them on sale for about $300 rather than the hefty price tag of 500+ tax. I wanted to have a reason to return them, but I wanted to try them as well. Comfort wise this headset is so light and the earmuffs feel so comfortable there’s not too much pressure on anything. I love the low profile and simple look. I was used to using Astro a 40s for gaming and those things have big bulky ears they’re heavy and clunky and there’s no noise canceling. this headset was knight and day for me. I mainly use it for gaming and listening to music. And it is amazing on both sides. The directional audio is just perfect for any of my FPS games that heavily rely on sound. And music is like listening to songs that I’ve been listening to my whole life for the first time. I hear all these little things that normally you wouldn’t even have any idea that they are there. Little random guitar, licks, or ambient sound effects, it is added a whole new layer to the music that I listen to. As for the “virtual boom mic“ that is also a great selling point. I don’t actually use the virtual boom mic for when I’m gaming and talking to friends through discord and what not, but for phone calls and talk to text stuff while I’m gaming is amazing. I love being able to have my phone and my computer hooked up to the headset at the same time. It’s so convenient to be gaming and to be like, “oh, I need to send a text“ and just say hey Siri send text message and just speak it out and say send. The battery life is amazing, on the weekends, I game at least one day for almost the entire day, I will turn that headset on at nine in the morning and it will still be going strong at 40% battery by 10 or 11 at night when I’m about to get off. The noise canceling works well also, and I really put it to the test because where I sit to game is about 4 feet from the laundry area in my home. There is no solid door. It is a pair of by folding doors with wooden slats, so there really is no sound dampening from the wooden doors themselves. But with the laundry going washer and dryer at the same time, yes, I can hear the washer and dryer going but it’s almost like it becomes white noise. When I take the headset off and put it back on when the washer and dryer are going it’s insane the difference . And if I’m playing a game, it’s almost unnoticeable. My only con with this product and it’s not really a huge con, sometimes when moving around you will hear this very light metal clink noise good and it’s something in the headset but I’m not sure what it is. I will stress though it is very minor and I only notice it if there’s absolutely no sound going through the headset at the time so while I’m waiting for a game to start up in the music not playing or there’s a quiet moment on the phone is when you might hear it. I would honestly recommend this to anybody, but I would probably wait for a sale because $500 is a bit much in my opinion. Not to say it’s not worth it but that’s just a lot of money for people who work average jobs and don’t have the best pay.

I purchased these initially close to launch , it was the black pair. While they sounded amazing ,the volume was quite low , even when all the way loud they still sounded a bit low . I also had consistent audio pop/sizzle cut out every now and then it was like they were struggling to stay connected to the console. Also the app was finicky and would not always connect to the unit. But the sound was very immersive crisp and clear. I ended up returning them as I initially paid the hefty $500 price tag. They sounded amazing when they worked but would lose connection to the console and you would get these loud pops.So nearly a year later I tried them again by purchasing another pair , this time I got the blue ones from amazon. WOW , what an improvement. The app works much better now and they are much much louder now. Still I have a few hiccups connecting them to app but it seems that they do not like to be paired with your phone , your pc and Xbox. So I deleted them from my PC's blue tooth and use them exclusively with my phone and my Xbox now. I have a corded BOSE set that I use with my laptop.I control the headphones exclusively through the app. The volume the noise reduction ,mic control ,software updates, all through the app. Overall I am keeping this pair as they are very good as Xbox gaming phones. The battery life is pretty good too. The volume is much better as well I can't even turn them up all the way they will hurt my ears. Overall a vast improvement over launch. If you can snag these at about $350 , I think that is the sweet spot. I got mine on sale for $389. I will be keeping this pair they have improved enough to keep them .Although I did have do a factory reset one time as they seemed to not want to connect. For some reason using them on PC , phone and XBOX , (3 different things) glitched them out and they would not connect to the app anymore.I think the real problem lies withing MS XBOX platform that have that proprietary connection from the console , the same button you use to pair the controllers is used the pair the headset. That connection is the real problem. MS needs to improve the connection.I do wish in the future updates you could disable all the buttons and dials on the headphones except for the power button. Sometimes when I scratch my ear , or fix my hair I inadvertently turn off noise cancelling or the volume on the headphones by touching the controls on the headset.I 100% control everything through the app , I keep it to my side when playing 2042 and other online shooters. At a quick glance to my phone I can control all the features on the headphones. Very very convenient.Overall , probably the best wireless headset for Xbox period. The only one I know of with noise cancellation and using the same pairing feature to the console as your controller. No wires at all , not even from your controller. Well worth $350 if you can snag em at that price. You can also charge them while still playing , which I haven't needed yet , they do last a pretty long time. They have preset EQs all which improve certain sounds like footsteps , explosions, etc. You can make your own custom EQ as well and control them entirely through the app. Essentially the only button I use on the phones themselves in the power button. Everything else I use the app.get em ,you'll love them , but be patient they can still be a little finicky
