I have only tested this and I am going by the diagram on the advertisement but it states that "Iron" is the most reactive metal and copper is the least. Also the wider the metal the better the detection. I noticed a reviewer stated his intended use was with a magnet but this does not work with any of the magnets I tested it with. If that is your intention then get a "Hall Effect Speed Sensor" This sensor worked as it should. NPN NO.Cheers

This sensor looks good. It will be used on my race truck as a driveshaft sensor. Should work perfectly for picking up the magnet collar and sending the signal to my receiver that uses a 3 wire sensor. Great price also.
