This solenoid is much better performing when it can draw around 3A rather than 2. At that current it is sufficiently strong and I'd estimate that the 45N force is accurate. It's not rated for continuous use, so be wary of the time and duty cycle required of it and it will work just fine.

I hooked this up to a DC power supply to see what current it draws at 12V, and it was closer to 2.5 amps than 2. It did slowly change over time, going from around 3.0 amps to 2.3 over a couple of minutes.It first triggered at around 7 volts.I didn’t measure the force, but I tried to push it in by hand and it must have been around 10 lbs force give or take.It seems to do fine for the most part, clicks nice and fast. Just be prepared that it might need more current/power at 12V than advertised. It does get hot if you leave it on too long, so be sure to follow the time limit they mention in the description.

I found that 1.5, 2 and 2.5 amps were not enough to keep it engaged. I had to use a 4a power supply to making it work properly without pulsating.
