The fastener at the neck is absolutely REQUIRED to keep the cape on. It slips off easily; in fact, I was unable to keep it on. As far as I was concerned, depending on which outfit I was wearing, the neck was too small for comfort. The openings in the cape to put your arms through were far to high for comfort and too short. I returned it.

I wore this cape for my winter wedding in the Tetons and it was a literal life-saver. I think I would have frozen to death without it, it was so cold! The pictures were lovely, and I got so many compliments on the cloak!

It was a nice, relatively heavy cape. It was made very well and would be an amazing cape for others I'm sure. But for me, it just didn't fit properly and also didn't hang well over my shoulders. For me I kept having to pull it forward or shrug my shoulders to move it forward cause otherwise it would put a little bit too much pressure on my neck. It kept me warm for the duration I did have it on as well. I'm giving it a 4/5 because like I mentioned previously it's a well made, warm, nicely lined cape - it just didn't work out for me is all.

I was expecting this to be heavier than it is for wool. It is more like a medium felt that has a thin lining. It is nice and I will wear it as it is warm I just wish it was heavier. I did resew the buttons to make sure they would not come off and resew the hook closer also. I am going to sew another hook closer under the button one to close it a little better so its not so open down the front. It is very small across the shoulders so if you have wide shoulders it will pull it open in the front. I am not wide in the shoulders and it still pulls open in the front. I love the green color for something different. I got a lot of compliments when I wore it to witches night out and it did keep me warm! I am 4' 11" and this is about 12 inches off the ground on me. I expected it to be to the ground on me. I thought maybe I had ordered wrong or received the wrong cape but according to the package label it was right.

This was a gift for my 10 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. Warm, well made, wonderful hood construction and the hand slits make it practical. The button hole was not stitched but not cut, so I used a seam ripper to carefully open it. We got the green because she pretends to be a Royal Ranger in her cloak.

I'm very pleasantly surprised with this purchase. Buying clothing items on Amazon can be SO hit or miss, Especially for plus sizes! (size 18 US: 5'6) But I'm glad I picked this one up! The quality is super nice. Very thick and warm with a satin-like lining. Has a nice double closure on the throat. A button over flap and a metal clasp inside. The arm/hand holes were just fine. The reviews of them being too small and awkward almost made me not purchase. You never know! I don't think I could have made this any better for the price. Will be great for cosplay. :) Happy overall!

The cloak seems reasonably well made. It has a nice lining and the felt feels soft to the touch. It fits my 5’5” daughter nicely.However the workmanship on the two buttons and the hook and eye was very poor. The hook and one button fell off during the first hour it was worn. When I went to repair that I looked at the other side and I could see that they were barely attached.For this price I think it’s still good value, just be prepared with a needle and thread and reinforce before you wear!
