I thought I was reviewing a fume extractor when I requested these, but it turns out this was just the replacement filters. They look to be basic felt pads that are dense enough to stop particulate matter. Past that, I really cannot say how effective, but based on experience, they should handle most of the fumes from typical flux core solder.

We are well pleased with these HEPA filters. They work extremely well and really keep the odors from both our soldering and light-duty welding station way down. Getting five quality filters for this low price point is fantastic.I could not be more pleased and highly recommend them.
