Love the feel and flex of the suit. For a 5mm best I've worn. Very warm as well. Overall quote happy, with the exception of the cut of the arms. First, they're way too long. I'm 6'1/245 and it fits ideal everywhere else. But the arms are an issue. You either pull them up at which they bunch in the elbow joint, or it sits down over your hand and you can't zip and keep closed. The internal rubber gasket on the limbs is nice to minimize flushing, but multiple inches could be taken from the arm length. I understand size range, but too short is fine with little wrist showing, too long is a problem. The second issue is the armpit. The front seam is in your natural armpit crease and rubs with minimal arm movement. This is more irritating than the length because it rubs raw. Once you dive a few times you realize there's no adjusting or avoiding. Otherwise, fantastic suit.

I bought this wetsuit for “winter” diving in South Florida since I tend to get cold easily. I used it today for the first time on a three-tank shark dive, where there’s not much movement, and it kept me warm throughout (temp dropped to 72 degrees). For comparison, I also have a 3/2mm Bare Revel, and I’ve noticed the sleeves on this wetsuit are slightly longer than the Revel’s, which might be helpful information for some. Highly recommended!

This item arrived in 2 business days in perfect timing right before a trip. The Bare Velocity Ultra is not your typical wetsuit. The neoprene has a lot of stretch, bending as far as your body allows is not a problem. Water ingress is minimized with this suit design; neck, wrist, and ankle seals as well as wrist and ankle zippers for easy on and off. The Ultrawarmth Omnired Infared Technology sewn into the liner fabric adds another layer of warmth. I'm using this suit for a Galapagos trip where temps rante from 56-74 during the time of travel. On the colder dives I'm layering with Bare Exowear socks, shorts, zipper jacket, hood + 3mm hood, and 5mm S-Flex gloves; should be toasty.
