What Is A Head Halter?

Head halters are commonly used as an alternative to neck control collars. The head halter has a strap that encircles the snout, and where the nose goes the body follows. The headcollar makes control easier, requiring less physical effort, so you don’t end up battling with your pet when going for a walk.

  • Stops leash pulling, allows gentle control
  • No choking, no pain
  • Allows dogs to eat and drink normally
  • Easily adjustable for custom fit
  • Quick-release buckles for easy on-and-off
  • Soft padding around the nose protects your dog's skin.

  • The safety clip is made of high-grade metal. The color of the clip is Rose Gold, rather than the traditional color. This part can provide strong front control. You can stop the dog from pulling by controlling the direction of the dog from the head.
  • Reinforced fabric and webbing are more durable than other regular head collars. It is strong enough for heavy pullers, such as German Shepherd, Labrador, Husky, Bull Terrier, or other aggressive dogs.

  • Without wearing head collars dogs that pull on the leash may also be at greater risk of becoming aggressive to strangers or dogs that they meet on walks if they are punished or choked each time they meet a new person or animal.

Pretty, and works wonderfully. My dog is a service dog. A nose halter allows me to have more control over when we are out or are training. It's comfortable for her and she can eat anything while she's wearing it.

It’s 100% an amazing product and works very well got it for my dog with issues eating random things off the ground in walks. Ie: grass, garbage, food, plants. This halter helps keep their head up rather than down sniffing looking for things to eat.

This is good quality but the measurements don’t fit my dog. A Medium should have fit according to measurements it did not. Ordered a Large and still does not fit. So waiting on a XLarge to see if this fits

My 100 lb Labradoodle pulls like crazy making walks a total arm workout and he has, on occasion, managed to drag me along if he spotted a rabbit or similar distraction.I have tried various products from prong collar to harness. Nothing stopped his pulling. This head collar is a miracle ! He tried to remove it at first but after a few walks he stopped objecting. For me, it's a much more enjoyable walk and for him I'm certain it's a lot more comfortable than what he had before.

Perfect for a large dog. Not too tight around the snout. Good quality, does what's expected. I recommend.

The junction that connects the nose loop is not linked properly with enough material to keep the nose band from break away. There needs to be more material overlapping over the connection to prevent nose loop from breaking away. I have purchased now about 70 units in all different sizes and they all the have the same design flaw. I love the possibility of this product but it needs an urgent revision to keep the dogs using this product safe.

I swear by these types of collars for training your dog to be a better walker. This one is okay. My main problem with it is that it's too much material and overall very clunky. This means that it's less comfortable for the dog. The idea behind these leashes isn't to burden the dog with a bunch of heavy fabric and metal around its mouth but for the dog to be able to effectively forget the leader is there around it's snout UNTIL you're correcting them. That is unfortunately impossible with this leash which leads me to say that I can't recommend it. There are better versions out there.

Got this head collar to replace a slip leash our trainer gave us, and we LOVE it. It is very sturdy, the reflective fabric is a definite plus, and our walks are definitely well-behaved. There aren't many head collars with a securing clip to the normal neck collar, and this is a must, as dogs do tend to want to rub the collar off once in a while, especially if a *squirrel!* shows up along the way. Our 2-year-old husky heeler mix is definitely a wanderer and the leash helps the training in a gentle way - like a horse you can just add a little nudge to the leash and the dog quickly understands you want his attention, instead of yanking on his neck collar. Best of all, the company has impeccable customer service - I ordered the wrong size (our dog is about 50 lbs) and I initially ordered a medium, and they quickly sent me a replacement collar (small - he has a narrow snout). I definitely recommend it. Walks are calm (maybe except for that *squirrel!*) and our dog walks next to us when he has it on - no pull.

We use head collars on all our dogs as they really help with leash manners and pulling. We bought this one after our clasp broke on our last head collar. This head collar works great, though the material is a little stiffer than we’re used to. It took a little for it sit correctly on our dog’s snout. But other than that, it works great!

This worked amazingly until it broke underneath. The d ring that connects under the nose came off, and my dog got loose this morning.

The design of this model allows my dog to pant and have his mouth relaxed. Previous styles I've purchased didn't allow this flexibility without becoming less secure. He is a somewhat reactive dog when he sees other dogs on walks, and the fit did not budge when he tried to pull away to go see another dog. Significantly reduces the strain of pulling on walks. The muzzle strap loosens easily when there is no pulling and tightens if you or the dog is pulling.

This No Pull head harness really works! - Even for my Super Reactive Siberian Husky.1. Interrupts instinct to pull - better than K9 Bridle or front-clip body harness2. Super sturdy, with "emergency clip" that hooks head halter to regular collar. - better than Canny Collar3. Fits better than Gentle Leader4. Secure - better than K9, Canine, GL - all broke & my dog ran loose!5. Actually restrains - keeps dog from standing on hind legs, lunging & pulling my joints out! Also highly recommend DOGROOK "bark collar." Charge lasts a long time. 10 levels + vibration. Tried it on myself first. It's totally safe.Carry a Big Stick - I considered buying a self-defense "Hike & Strike" pole to carry while hiking, to fend off the unleashed dogs that charge us. Being leashed together, my dog & I are magnets & sitting ducks. For now, I'm using a 4ft. wooden stick I call my "Shillaylee." In the backyard it's a visual deterrent to puppy sneak attacks - aka: charging me from rear. That behavior got her banned from doggie daycare. We still have a lot of work to do!!! The dream is a chill dog & trail running buddy, with 100% recall off-leash.
