Just polished some frets with these (set of 3). They came out nice! Just start with the lowest grit and work your way up to the higher grits.

I’m no luthier by any means but these are easy to use, leave a nice, polished surface on the frets. Just be sure to use protection on the fretboard itself.

They work exactly as advertised, and yield wonderful results. The nickel frets on my Music Man Silhouette Special had quite the patina on them - almost all the lustre from the frets had left, like a pet bird you take outside for an off-leash walk.Wait, what was I saying? Right, I bought these to restore my frets and can say that they work and perform as advertised.A recommendation: if I could go back in time, I would spend the extra few dollars to get the 5-pack that includes the 1500 grit and 2000 grit polishers to get that mirror finish. I first purchased the 3-pack, and the results are fantastic (see the attached picture), but if you’re putting in the effort to do this kind of stuff, then you might as well shell out the extra $15 for a vastly superior shine. I already have, and can attest that the 5-pack is that little extra mile that’s worth it. Unlike my bird that left me…Sorry. Back on track. MAKE SURE you spend some quality time setting up the tape job around the frets. These polishers remove a lot of gunk, so have a vacuum or a broom handy too, because there will be lots of particulate to clean up. But, the frets feel as smooth as when they were last dressed and levelled, so this is a great staple to keep in your guitar maintenance toolkit. Should’ve kept my budgie in his cage, though…Oh, and your guitar will naturally sound and play better if you use these fret polishers while blasting Iron Maiden’s “Fear of the Dark” in the background. Even if the neighbours say “can you turn it down?” politely, just throw up the horns and scream “HEAVY METAL WILL NEVER DIE-EEEE” and ride off into the night on your black Pegasus named Ronnie James Dio. Or sip some herbal tea and listen to Enya or whatever captains your crunch. At least you didn’t lose your pet bird. Why would you have even brought that up?SORRY. Here’s the summary: they work. The price is right. Buy them, follow the instructions, and you will be very happy with the results. Birds are traitors.

I had a 30 year old guitar that I took out of storage. I used these erasures to clean the frets and they worked as advertised. I had to use blue painters tape to protect the fret board and then I was able to start rubbing the frets with these. They have three different levels of graininess, depending on how dirty your frets are. I was able to get all the gunk off my frets before I restrung it and they are nice and smooth now.

I had a Squier Affinity i got a deal on. For the price, it has a few issues, but the worst part was the fret work. Any bends or vibrato would sound like the strings wee on sandpaper.I figured since it was a cheap guitar, I couldn't mess it up too bad. These sanding pads were super easy to use and pretty durable. I taped off my frets, and got to work. It plays like butter now, with no issues. These are worth every penny and should be in every guitar players maintenance kit. 5 stars.
