Easy to read, but breaks easily. For as easy as it breaks, it is hard to buy it a second time. It breaks just above where the metal inserts into the plastic, a torque point.

The description said Made in Switzerland. It clearly states on the packaging that is Made in China!

This is an excellent product, and I would second all of the positive comments that previous reviewers have made. My only issue is that the product pictured, and the product that I received, is in fact not a 12-1036; it's a 12-1034HR. It says so right on the product! There is no magnifier in the 1034-HR; however, you don't need one because the Hi-res scale is very easy to read as is. My guess is that the 1034-HR has replaced the 1036. If that is the case, then the product record should be updated. That aside, I still would highly recommend this product.

I am a PT student and I purchased this goniometer after I lost my previous 12 inch goniometer from EMI. I love this goniometer and I think it is definitely worth the money. I think this is a lot better than the plastic ones especially for students who are just learning goniometry as the antennae allow for precise bony landmark alignment and accurate measurements. Also being 4'9" and having really small hands, I found this goniometer a lot easier to maneuver than my previous plastic one. One of the other benefits to this goniometer is that it seems to be able to take a lot more wear and tear than my previous goniometer. After only a few months of owning my old one plastic one it was all scratched up from being in my purse and/or backpack and looked like it had been owned for decades. I haven't had this goni for long but it seems sturdier and I am hoping that it will remain aesthetically pleasing with further use.Overall I am really happy with this product and I cannot wait to use it in my first clinical experience next summer! :)
