Triple piece construction lets you collapse this into a compact stick but still gives you as much as 35 inches expanded (that’s from tip to tip). With a roller in place and your hand on the center of the padded handle, it’s probably right around 3 feet. Very light weight, 8 ounces; yes, only 1/2 pound but very rigid and easy to adjust. I’ve seen poles with heavier construction at higher prices but this is pretty decent at this price point if you need / want the adjustability or a compact storage solution. I don’t think the plastic locking tabs would hold up to continuous pro-level use but this perfectly acceptable to me for the occasional DIY job. Also, note this a standard threaded head that will accept any standard female threaded gizmo be it a paint roller, brush holder, edger, mop, duster … whatever.

This is a great extension handle because it is made from good quality strong metal that doesn't give or bend. It works so much better than a full extension because it adjusts from about 1.5 feet to 3 feet, making it possible to use it in almost any situation. When using a full-length handle, I have to remove it to get to things that are close to me. The adjusting locks are strong and hold it exactly where you set it with no slipping.
