I am reviewing Bates 2" synthetic bristle paint brushes, 10 pack, which at the time of this review were $5.99. Let's start by saying these are cheap brushes. Don't expect excellent quality with these. They have a fair amount of loose bristles that fall out, and many are inserted at an angle so they want to skew out to the side. These synthetic bristles are also stiffer and don't hold paint quite as well as a natural chip brush. HOWEVER, at the current price point of $6 for a 10 pack, they are still an excellent value. Not all paint jobs need a $15 paint brush that you have to meticulously clean after every use. Sometimes you want to quickly apply some paint, finish, stain, etc onto a project, give the brush a quick wash, and use it for an even less demanding project the next few times until you toss it. The time savings alone from not having to clean these brushes as carefully makes up for their lower quality. I would happily buy these again at this price, and after perusing the Bates storefront here on Amazon and seeing their other affordable options, I believe this will be a top seller for me.

I don't have to paint often (usually just touch up or the occasional room), and I'm pretty lazy when it comes to cleaning brushes and roller covers. I'd much rather just toss them. These brushes have good chiseled bristles and comfortable handles, and at this price they are guilt free when they hit the trash!
