Fit and worked perfectly. Not for the faint of heart when trying to disassemble the gps. The instructions and video are excellent, but the case of the gps does not like to separate easily and often the on/off button will not set back into the case. This has nothing to do with the replacement battery and tool kit, they are excellent. Took me about 30 minutes, mostly to get the case apart.

Old battery died, replaced it with a NewPower, works great. The kit tools which are included are well worth it as most folks don't have them on hand. Very satisfied.

The "tool" that is supposed to open the Garmin housing isn't very helpful... took me (literally) hours... and even then had to draft an assistant to help. Got the new battery in... plugged it in overnight to charge... totally dead. NOW I CAN'T GET THE DARN THING OPEN TO TAKE OUT THE BATTERY! Don't waste your money. Hope I can get it open before the 30-day return time expires.

It was amazingly easy. This kit had everything step by step instructions as well as the right tool, instead of my usual butter knife (pry tool). My Garmin Nuvi 50LM is like new again. The battery has been holding good charge for several weeks just sitting on my desk. I received it quickly too which really took it up and over 5 stars.

Although it takes assembly and a bit of effort you can bring new life into an old device EASY! They give you a plastic tool to pry around the edges and eventually the device comes apart. Then you unscrew two screws to get the computer chips out of the way. The, you have to pry away the old battery (the glue can be stubborn so heat it with a hair dryer or something) and simply connect the new one. Once the battery is in place all you have to do is reassemble in reverse order and snap the gadget together and give it about a 3 hour charge.My old garmin battery was so drained that even on a warm day when I would turn my car off it would give me a 30 second shutdown warning (typical in almost all garmin gps devices) but would shut down in only 5 seconds! That is one DEAD battery! With this new one you get more mAh, which means more run time and a longer life and you DO NOT have to buy a new garmin! That means this little doo-dad will save you money and the hassle of having to reprogram all the landmarks you've tallied up!
