Thanks to Rock Star's review, I modified before first light-up. I have had to make modifications on most high heat cookers to keep the hose away from the heat. This is what I did to the Bayou Classic. Hope it helps.

Very durable and doesn’t rust which I especially like due to all the crawfish boil and salty water spill overs. The last blued one I had rusted almost immediately after first use. This one is 2 years old and still looks in great shape with a little bit of a hot metal look around the top from the heat. But no rust so I’m happy.

This is a great burner. My steal burners were rusting away yearly. I thought this was a bit flimsy at first but the base that the pot sits on is huge I have been running a 100 quart stainless steal pot full of crab on this for months and it is very stable. I feel comfortable resting a full strainer on the lip of the pot and not worried that it will tip off the burner. So far no rust no issues at all. Heat output is never a problem I think this is the most you can get from this type of burner. The only thing I don't like from the jet burners is the noise but the BTU tradeoff is worth it. Sometimes you need to heat a pot fast and this is as fast as it gets. This is the best burner I have had and it requires very little upkeep. I installed some electric BBQ igniter's and it's been running daily for months just like it did on day one. I would highly recommend this burner.

Old burner:Bayou Classic, maybe ~18 years old.Carbon steel with black paint.Rusted air gap control that is unusable.Rated at 55,000 btu.18" off the ground with iffy legs.1.5 hours to boil huge stock pot of hot tap water.New burner:Bayou Classic, new.Stainless steel.Naturally transparent chromium finish (because it's stainless steel)Perfectly blue flame with no adjustable air gap. Highly idiot resistant!Rated at 367,000 btu!13" off the ground with less iffy legs.Might burn a hole in the pot (will revise post when we do the first boil in a few weeks)Sounds like an F-14 afterburner.

I bought this after struggling with wind and cold trying to fry a turkey. After a lot of looking I found this and gave it a shot, and I was not disappointed. This thing is awesome, and is much easier to deal with. No more scrubbing black sticky soot from my pots, because this gets hot enough to burn all that off. I no longer need to worry about the wind. I primarily use the burner at about 20/30% of it's capacity, and it's really nice having the headroom when I need it.Read the manual and take caution seiously, this burner can be extremely dangerous if used incorrectly!

Works great, and heats a big pot of crawfish MUCH faster than my older single burner did. The stainless steel prevents burning off powder coat and rust that non stainless burners have. Absolutely love this burner.

This thing is AWESOME. Since for some reason it isn't included in the product description I think it should be mentioned that this is a 210k+ BTU. It will boil a 30qt pot full of water in under 10 minutes. It will heat a pot of 3/4 full of oil to 350 degrees in 15 minutes. This burner is VERY hot so you need to keep an eye on the regulator to prevent it from freezing because it pulls so much propane from the tank. Here is a link to the manufacturer as well:http://www.bayouclassicdepot.com/ss2-bayou-classic-stainless-double-jet-propane-burner.htm
