Why ship a sealed sharps container? Sure I can force the tab open but then it doesn't seal properly. 18+ years of dealing with sharps containers and this is a first!

I bought this for my diabetic cat. Best bargain when comparing the cost per the size! To find this exact product you MUST copy and paste the name of the specific product otherwise it doesn’t pull up at all, that’s frustrating it must be done that way. My local pharmacy was charging me $35 so this was well worth it!

Here is the difference in the two sizes. Larger is 8.2qt & the smaller is 6.9qt. I’ve been using the smaller one for many years but decided to try out the larger. Hope the photo helps you for your needs. I’m on insulin pump so I use it every 2-3 days.

Great product and exactly as advertised. I have gone through all kinds of trouble trying to buy Sharps containers at my Pharmacy and am so relieved that I can now get them hassle free on Amazon. I use five syringes a day so I need the extra large containers or I would have to go to the store every few weeks to return the full containers. The price is comparably with my Pharmacy and they are delivered to my home. You just can't beat that. I highly recommend this product from this dealer.

These collectors are much larger and cheaper than you find at any drug store or discount house. Much larger and cheaper. About 1/4 of the cost and about 8 times as large. It is easy to use, too, with a large cap. I definitely recommend this for all of your Sharps needs.

It's a sharps container that must hold several hundred used syringes. I love it. And BD is one of the top manufacturers of sharps containers (and of course, syringes we throw into them). Now, I would not use this sharps container if you're a diabetic in a home with small children, because they can easily reach down into the mouth of the container. Also, this probably shouldn't be used in any health care setting where someone could get into it when no one's watching. It's easy to remove the used syringes.BD manufactures (and Amazon sells them) more expensive sharps collectors that make it very difficult to remove the used syringes. I don't have young children around, so this is plenty safe. And it holds a boatload of used sharps, so my trips to the state medical waste disposal facility is less frequent. No, you should not throw this into your trash when it's full.Edit 10 July 2016I've just bought my third one of these from Amazon. Just me alone, putting in syringes, lancets, and empty vials of insulin (not really necessary, but very safe), I get about 5-6 months of use. Your mileage may vary of course. You'll get more use if you do not use it as a trash container for your syringes. Caps, paper overwrap, and other non-syringe/non-needle devices shouldn't go in here.Remember, it's illegal in most jurisdictions to dispose of needles in your trash. That's a hazard for lots of people. And putting them in an empty coke bottle doesn't help either. Use a container like this, and when it's full, take it to your hazardous waste facility, which almost every county in the USA has. This is a well built container, with the leading brand in sharps disposal.
