Sway bar links often need replacing, especially if you live in an area with rough roads, they can give out every few years. While prices vary wildly, this is a solid choice among the ones I've seen for the Volvo. They were sturdily made, despite being even cheaper than the cheap ones. And they fit well, replacing these was straightforward on each side. If you want to save some money, getting these makes for an easy fix, you just need some tools and time. And now the car doesn't creak half as much when driving.

These sway bar links don't look much different from what's available at the dealership or parts houses but they cost less than average. If hiring an installer, just make sure they don't require you to use their provided parts for warranty reasons. Otherwise this isn't too hard of a project, especially if the brakes or something else needs work at the same time. I’d say that if one's comfortable doing brake work, they'd have no trouble installing these. I already had the front end of the car up and both wheels removed so it was easy to see where these went. The impact and varying combinations of extensions and wobble adapters can make short work of this job. I usually just watch a video or two first and keep it available to refer back to if I have any questions. Changing all of the sway bar linkages is a good idea on older vehicles, and you should definitely notice a change in ride quality afterwards.
