This was a bat mitzvah gift for a young lady who recently moved to Montana and owns quite a bit of land. She will be doing a lot of outdoors wandering and has great appreciation for the value this will be in keeping her safe and on target.

The compass cover has a defective opening mechanism. Cannot open the cover. I would not recommend purchasing this product.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas to go with a Devotional. It's heavy and seems like a nice quality. The leather pouch is great. The snap seems durable. But it doesn't point to north. This isn't a terrible thing, as we don't plan to use it for wilderness survival, but it was a little disappointing.
