I used this tent several times over the Summer, and this is what I found out:It doesn't deflect the heat so if it is not windy, it feels like a sauna under the tent.It seems like it protects from the sun although I was always wearing sunscreen while using this tent and I am not a very light person so I can't say if it works for everybody. It worked great on a windy day. I moved the sandbags around and it worked great. It is challenging to set this up alone. I liked it better than an umbrella because there was more space to seat under and there was less of a possibility of it to fly off.I would recommend it but be prepared for the heat if there is not enough wind blowing.

This is an excellent sun canopy. Instructions are easy to follow, and it includes thick metal poles that are connected internally with a built-in bungee cord, making them snap together and remain together at install, and later on remove and foldable into small sections at dismantling. Shade itself provides good sun coverage. Overall stability is very good utilizing both the poles and sand bags. Lastly, it is easily portable by using the include carry bag. Very pleased with the product and its performance.

Brought this to Jamaica for a family trip. Easy to assemble and setup. It stayed up all week, no sagging or falling down. At the end of the week it was a breeze to take down. Provides great sun shade

Oh I love this tent so much it was a good idea of someone creating those. So easy to set up - taking on like 5-10 minutes doing it alone, very lightweight, small bag that weights nothing. Use it for a year now and happy with it. Nothing changed within a year, it didn't change a color and didn't rip. All aluminium ticks coming with it are still in dissent condition. I think I can use it for couple more years.

After years of using a traditional heavy, cumbersome canopy at the beach, my husband was ecstatic to try this light weight sun shade. The excitement lasted about 1 hour. The light weight poles slid around the canopy, fell repeatedly, and eventually bent. When it collapsed on my less than able bodied mom, infant niece, and very beach hating elementary kids, we packed it away. Defeated and sunburnt, I was at the beach store that afternoon buying a $$$ sail shade that shan’t be named(best purchase ever btw). It is a bummer though. The teal color is gorgeous, it’s light weight, a packs super small to fit in my beach bag. May be better suited to a less windy beach or even lake shore.

I’d give this cover a 3. Not terrible, not great. Not the easiest set up. If you have four people to set up, this could be much easier. If you have one/two people it’s a pain, especially in a windy environment. Second set up was much easier.Little shovel for sand is kind of flimsy and only scoops a little sand at a time, but it worked. I know some tents didn’t come with a shovel at all, so I appreciated it. Some people might not be able to shovel more than it holds, too, so I guess it’s smaller size fits more people.Tent packs up so well! One thing I love about this product is is packs into a tiny bag which is great when you’re hauling a bunch of stuff around.

We bought this canopy for our recent trip to Hawaii for a family of 3 adults and 3 children. With the heat waves of recent, it was important to us to bring shade so we could sit out longer along the beaches, but without the bulk of beach tents and the like. We also did not want to spend a lot of money buying umbrellas or a tent in Hawaii. This particular canopy fit our needs well: small and light enough to bring onto the plane. Setup could be done with one person, but was easier with two. Lay out the fabric, add sand onto the corner pockets, then stand up each of the four corners with the included poles. Secure with guy lines as needed. We liked that we could keep one leg shorter than the other so the shelter could be tilted.Takedown took a bit more effort because we had to dump all the sand. We brought large freezer zip-loc bags along to help ensure any remaining sand would not fall out, but that was totally unnecessary. Could always shake it all out from the included bag. Be mindful that if you take this canopy internationally, you may get in trouble with Customs and Border Patrol. Be sure to declare that you took a canopy onto the beach or campground. We like the orange color so it was easier for us to find the shelter from the sea of blue or white umbrellas and tents strewn all over the beach.
