I bought this as a gift for family member who had started sewing as a hobby, and they didn't have any kind of pin cushion. They absolutely love it for how useful it is, and they use it all the time now while they are sewing.They magnet is strong and hold the pins in securely, but not so strong to be diffcult or awkward to use. Overall this seems like a great alternative to a traditional pin cushion.

I’m sorry I didn’t buy one of these when I first began putting quilts together for our church. I was picking pins out of the box I bought them in and poked my fingers more than once. This pin magnet is a great help. When I dropped it (full of pins) top down on the floor, not a pin came off. I love it!
