Bought one bought a year ago and one of the limbs broke aw I was shooting light arrows basically like dry shooting it and had a skinny string that was not recommended anyway I contacted Bear and they sent me an address to send them my bow the next day after receiving it they sent me a brand new one

Don’t make the mistake (Like I did) and order too much draw Weight cause there is no “let off” like a compound. Mikes Archery was most excellent in getting me a 30# instead of of the #50 I ordered.

They failed to write an accurate description of what you're buying. It's not a 62" bow. The AMO is 58".I ended up keeping it because it's a damn good bow and feels great in your hand. Also, the shorter length will be beneficial while stalking through thicker brush. They need to do a better job of packing the bow as well. The tips punched through the cardboard box and the plastic bag the bow was wrapped in while in transit. One tip went all the way through. Luckily it did not damage the bow.

What else is there to say? This bow is a beautiful work of art, very obvious care was taken to design and build it. It will last a long time, never fail me, and maybe even be handed down to a new generation.

Giving 5 stars for Bear Archery reputation and good solid product. However, my bow came with minor scratches on the side of the riser. Dymondwood is not technically "wood" wood; and I don't know if these scratches can be polished. I like its lightweight, form and performance. I might update my review after I shoot more than 1000 arrows from it.

I've wanted a Bear recurve bow since I was a kid. This is a beautiful bow, which I intend to hunt with. Unfortunately I cannot give this bow the 5th star it deserves for a couple reasons. The first reason is the box it was shipped in was damaged. The lower limb tip punched a hole through the box and the tip of the limb was scratched slightly, not affecting performance though. The second reason was that the craftsmanship of the bow was not as good as I expected it to be for a $400 bow. The bushings and the Bear emblem were installed poorly into the riser. The edges of the bushings were sloppy and splintered out, and the emblem is crooked on the riser.Besides that, the bow is perfect. Beautiful wood---mine looks almost like cedar. Very light colored with some red lines in it. All the bows look different of course. And the bow is a smooth shooter. At 60# it's pretty stiff for a scrawny guy like me, but I'm building my strength up every day I shoot it. Very nice bow, but I did expect more quality for the price.

This is the greatest bow I've ever shot. It comes with a Flemish twist string which is awesome because you don't have to get a new string when you get this bow unlike most other bows you buy. It looks great and it's just great to hold. It's so smooth, fits great in the hand and is a breeze to shoot. There is absolutely no hand shock whatsoever. It even beat my Martin Saber which is designed to have to vibration in the riser at all. But this beat it and the design hasn't changed in 51 years! And it's powerful for a 62 inch bow. And it comes with the bear hair rest and plate already installed. If you have been into archery for a while get this bow. You won't regret it.
