If you're an avid camper in an area that's endemic with bears (or other critters), it's wise to have a kit like this. You do not want to draw attention to your tent with your food in there... animals can smell it, even if you can't.This kit comes with a large 10L bag (camo too) and the necessary tools to secure it high, up off the ground.Quality materials.Sure, you can do a makeshift one with a garbage bag and some rope but this kit is so much cleaner (and sturdier).Highly recommend.

This is a great item to keep with any camping kit as it allows you to store food or other valuables up out of the way of animals. It's very straight forward and simple to use. Add rocks to the little black bag, tie a rope to it and sling it over a tall branch. Once that's done you simply attach the rope to the dry bag and hoist it up in the air. Presto no curious critters coming to grab any midnight snacks.

Decent little package for expediently animal-proofing your campsite. Bags aren't huge, so it's not going to contain a weeks worth of food for a family of four. But if you're on a short hike, and need something already built for the purposes, it's a solid choice. The only thing I might add, however, is this drybag is the heavier "hypolon" like material. Which is great for durability and weather resistance. But it's not exactly superlight backpacker-type gear. This makes it ideal for those who aren't too weight conscious, but might be a deciding factor if you're counting ounces.

A neat system to keep animals out of your food and away from your site. But I've noticed that with multiple use, that the top where you roll it down is beginning to crack...material is separating from itself. I've seen this many times with waterproof bags like this. Still works just fine though, but won't be as waterproof as when brand new. Entire unit is light in weight and packs down small, which are important factors when backpacking/hiking. Bag of also very easy to wipe clean! Both ropes that come with, are both durable and strong. One of my clips/carabiner no longer snaps itself closed though, but still works for what I need it for. And I can personally vouch that bag truly is waterproof, for I sheltered for a good two days while it rained and rained! All of my snacks/food stayed completely dry in my bear bag! (Thankfully!)

Got this bag so I can go to the lake and beach kayaking and keep my things dry as it is advertised as waterproof. Not for bears lol I don't think there even is any bears in south FL..Seems like it's very good quality though. I'm excited to get on the water and bring this bag along.

The bag itself is large enough to hold a lot of gear. Let's face it though, this is really just a 10L dry bag with some rope and carabiners thrown in. The only information included was a flyer showing the dry bag. There was nothing that described how to use the rock pouch, or best practices etc. If you look at any of the other bear bag systems on Amazon, you'll find a video and steps for how to use it. The same thing applies here.I wanted to rate this lower because of the hassle, but he system itself is sturdy and works well.

It's great! It comes with everything needed to hang food from a tree. The bag seems sturdy, though I will probably end up using paracord instead of the supplied rope.

This bear bag is just what I needed for my camping trip this summer. I am always worried about bears getting into my food and now I can be careful for myself and look after nature and wildlife responsibly. The bag is straightforward, you put the food in the bag and attach the ropes, toss the bag across a high tree limb, after you've attached it to a rock or something on the ground and go to sleep or whatever you need to do. This way you can remove the bag later but a bear can't. The bag is camouflage and the ropes are blue and bright red and made from sturdy material.
