Like many people, Tom has a special spot that is his “happy place”, where he finds time to meditate and listen to nature. While sitting on the special rock located on the shores of Lake Tahoe, a massive bear suddenly paused a short ways away from him, stared directly at him for a moment, and decided to move along without any confrontation. This magical experience had to be some sort of sign, and it inspired Tom to seek out the meaning of this encounter. Tom soon learned that a bear crossing is viewed by many as a sign of good luck and while symbolizing strength, the bear serves as a guide for many at an impasse. All doubt had gone away for Tom and he knew this was an opportunity to start his own shoe company founded on this great animal, with the name BEARPAW as an homage to his chance meeting with that bear in Tahoe. Shortly after, the very first BEARPAW boot style was created, called EVA. Since then, the EVA has evolved into our ELLE boot, and is still the most popular shoe style in the company’s collection. Both EVA and ELLE embodied the BEARPAW lifestyle with their warmth and effortless style. The BEARPAW team now creates shoe styles for all walks of life, so you can live life comfortably wherever you are.

I bought these for my nine-year-old son to have some thing to easily slip on for school or going to karate. He loves them! I bought them a half a size up and they seem to fit really well. I didn’t want to spend the money on UGGs because he will likely grow out of them quickly. But for the $44, they were worth it!

My daughter LOVES these. Perfect size and so soft and warm inside. She wanted Uggs but I just can't see spending that money for these. Anyhow, these were a hit. I love BearPaw boots too so I know the quality was going to be great. I also got these with an extra discount too which was nice. My daughter uses these for gymnastics-something easy to slip off and on. Buy these!

The shoes are soft on the inside and outside. They fit true to size. The color is accurately depicted. Very nice looking shoes.Lining helps keep feet warm and snug without having to wear thick socks.

I bought these for my 6 almost 7 yr old. She had been begging for a pair of Uggs but knowing how quickly children go up shoe sizes I decided to go with something just a little bit cheaper but something I knew was still good quality from previous purchases. I personally love this brand more than Ugg. Much more cost efficient, love the colors more, super warm and durable even for my 1st grader. I also went up half a size knowing thick socks would possibly be worn with them and I’m glad I did. They are more on the “snug” side only because of the thick fur.
