The Ka-Bar BK18 Becker Harpoon, approved by Ethan Becker himself, features a 4.562" drop point fixed blade with a brown finish and is made of 1095 Cro-Van steel. The full length tang is dressed with brown Ultramid handles for durability and use in adverse conditions. The 0.165" spine is grooved for extra leverage when cutting. The Celcon sheath keeps your Becker Harpoon readily at hand while camping, hiking, or hunting.

This knife is durable, sharp, and a good feel in the hands. Came ready to use and razor sharp, practically cutting the fabric of time when I use it. Overall a great daily use knife. Will purchase again if needed.

At this price point ($99, 2024) I'm going to get another one. This this is awesome. I was worried that the blade body would be too fat or feel awkward but its literally perfect. The balance, the fit and finish, the feel in hand. My only nit picky complaint would be that the handle can feel a little slick but because of the way it fits in the hand it does not slip at all. Its awesome. Just get it, you won't regret it!

Vraiment un beau et bon couteau pour le bushcraft !Seul inconvéniant le manche est petit et le matériel utilisé peut sous la pluie devenir glissant j'ai ajouté un ruban style Camoform pour éllargir mon manche et c'est parfait, ça me donne une meilleure prise en main et le risque de glissement devient nul.La coupe au sorti de la boîte est incroyable.Vraiment un couteau a tout faire de la cuisine au dépeçage du gibier.

I bought this for my adult son, the Service. As a Birthday gift, he likes pokey stuff. Go figure. And say’s it’s a nice ‘tool’. I thought it was a Hunting knife, lol.

This is a pretty good survival knife. I was not a big fan of the plastic handles so I got some micarta which increases the overall cost. The handle design is great. The sheath is decent but I prefer clips over belt loops. It did really well with food prep. It did well enough for batoning and feather sticks.I abused this knife for a day and I did end up blunting the edge but chopping hard wood and digging in the dirt can do that. Found myself wanting a bigger and choppier knife so I got an esee 6.Its hard to say if ill keep this knife long term with the esee but its a very well designed knife. Its a better "tactical" knife but that is not really my use case. It will do the things I need it to but I think the esee will work better in most situations.

This knife comes sharp, holds an edge, has taken a little abuse without being damaged. Admittedly it’s not the best blade type for a get off me knife but it’ll work and does excellent in every other use Good for cooking and cleaning if you get some some game. The blade length is a little long for cleaning in tight spots but length is perfect if you need to make a decent cut in one pass. If I had to choose just one knife it would be a multi tool but as a stand alone blade this is my first choice for a field knife , edc or kitchen knife.

Bought this knife to give to my husband for his birthday and was worried it wouldn’t arrive on time due to my procrastinating but to my amazement it not only arrived on time but literally was delivered within 26 hours to my mailbox with standard shipping. Product arrived quicker than projected. Design, fit, finish awesome. Pricey yes, but well worth it. Sheath way better than expected, and made in USA too. Well worth the money. Buy it. You wont be disappointed. Did, however swap the bolts with ss. But thats been a common theme with all my beckers, because they can and will rust. Compared to the bk16, it slices way better, carves better, etc. Obviously the tip design is weaker than the bk16, but it is strong. Either one would make a good addition to a survival kit, but I feel the bk18 is a major upgrade design for game/fish processing. Pair it with a bk7, or a bk2, or bk9 and youre set. Different tools for different jobs. Very pleased, very utilitarian. And finally a decent sheath. Sheath does fit the bk16.
