I have a the original bedslide in an older truck that fits a 4' x 8' sheet of drywall or plywood. I love it! Smart concept that works well. BUT, I bought a new truck and got a brand new bedslide and unfortunately their new design DOES NOT fit a regular sheet of plywood!!!!! They use material that is 48" wide then add their new railing system that makes it smaller than 48". You can stack the plywood ON TOP of the railing system but have to support the middle of the sheet. STUPID. They sell one thing. Bedslides. They should hold a sheet of drywall BETWEEN the railing. Even their contractor bedslide is too small! This is unbelievable to me! A board room engineering failure. I will keep this new bedslide and not install the railing so I can haul full sheets and somehow come up with my own railing that will fit 4 x 8 sheets and keep my stuff in place.ALSO, (sorry to carry on) they now have what the call "D" fasteners to secure the bedslide to the truck bed without having to get underneath the truck. Great concept, but yet another unrefined detail that does not work. (FYI I am a contractor that has been installing kitchens and bathrooms for 33 years I know my way around tools and projects like this). I imagined that these 4-"D" bolts would take about 15-20 minutes to install. It too 2.5 hours to fight and install this and 2 of the 4 bolts failed. I had to use my own bolts in 2 of the 4 positions. Their "d" bolt installation "ring" or "standoff" never actually grabbed the fastener like it should have, which is vital for the fastener to engage and collapse on the underside of the bed. Failure. I welcome any feedback or a reply from Bedslide (I did get in contact with them via email). BTW, Amazon did a great job of delivering it in 3 days and right on time as promised.
