Used for auto repair and electrical install work since they arrived. Bits cut very fast and clean in thin aluminum and steel plate. Markings are small but legible. Set provides every size that I will never need at a budget price for an average mechanic in a nice box for storage. Let's face it, expensive bits can break and dull just as easily as these can!

I needed to mount some garden-hose fixtures in an aluminum panel; the largest of these chugged its way through in only a minute or so, and needed very little deburring, and left no deformation as might a punch, by my experience. Later, in another project, a smaller one (second from smallest) made a beautiful mounting hole in a piece of PVC pipe (5" diameter pipe, 1/2" hole.). I've been very happy so far. They come in a very professional case, like a miniature suitcase, and a spring-loaded center punch is included. Be sure to clamp things down, this is not a kid's tool, treat it with respect, rest your wrist before it quits, and the stepped-hole bore will give good results.

Pretty nice price on this step bit kit.Quality is nice, and they've been packaged well.They've been holding up nicely and staying sharp, and having the full kit gives you a lot of versatility. Center punch is also a nice bonus and works well.

Used this all day today. Had a ton of drilling to do on a custom bracket I was making. 1/8” thick steel. Drill through. No problem Up to 7/8 diameter. I probably drilled 100 holes with the same bit today. Then I had to drill some pilot holes in some electrical boxes with the smaller bit. About 1/4” hole. There also- no problems. I expected these to be trash by the time I finished today but they weren’t. I neatly put them all back in their case which amazed me. These things are hit and miss. Sometimes they last a long time and sometimes you get one hole. These are the long time version I guess. Super happy by bits live to fight another day. Thanks!

Step drills are the unsung hero of DIY work. When I am building random things I drill a hole and sure enough I need to widen that hole, wood, metal, plastic is no problem. This kit is awesome, it comes in a nice metal case, includes a center punch and the bits themselves are very well made and heavy duty.

I have a couple of step bits which I can't seem to find when I need them so I had to order this set for the multiple bits for almost all jobs and the nice storage case which will make it easier to keep track of them. They are well made bits that will make quick work of the job. I also like that the kit comes with a center punch (even if it is a little light weight) which comes in handy. The metal case is well made and the price is very reasonable. A good set of bits.
