Beitong as a brand is relatively unknown here in the USA but it seems to be a favorite in China. It's really not hard to see why.At it's current price, this controller is of really good value when compared to similarly priced options. It uses TMR sticks and in my short time using them I've found them to be free of drift and with a smooth travel. The build and shell are made of plastic but seems highly durable with a pretty cool led design with different colors depending on your connection method. Since I'm using the receiver only with no additional software, the LEDs light up red.I did not experience any noticeable input delay when using on my PC. I also really enjoyed the mechanical face buttons - these are new to me and I already prefer them over the membrane style buttons. It's a satisfying feeling knowing hearing the clicking noise after pressing either buttons or the dpad. The triggers are also really neat - they are hall effect for good durability, and have a stopper that allow for short trigger range. It seems to be a mechanical stop but it works great.Overall, while this is BEITONG's lower end controller, it is able to pack premium features like TMR sticks, multirange triggers, mechanical buttons and a durable case all at an accessible price.

I got this controller to use with my MacBook Air, even though it doesn't say it's compatible. Once I received the controller, and got it charged, I tested it out. I was able to pair it with my MacBook Air via bluetooth after locating "Xbox Wireless Controller". The controller works great however, when attempting to update the controllers firmware via the app on my iPhone, the update didn't take. The process was in an endless loop, no matter how long I waited, the update process would not complete. I gave the controller 4 Stars only for the firmware update issue.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality and craftsmanship of this controller. It's packed really nicely in the box and comes with an adapter, cable, and instruction booklet. I used the adapter to connect the controller to my Asus ROG Ally without any issues. I could immediately navigate the Asus and Xbox apps with the controller. However I had to disable the Ally's embedded controller through the quick settings for it to be recognized when I attempted to remote play my Xbox Series X. So keep that in mind if the controller appears to not be working. This is essentially an Xbox controller, and is even recognized as such by Windows if you use Bluetooth, so it is fully compatible and a great alternative to the official Xbox controller. Every button maps perfectly, and the "Home" button is the Xbox Guide button. The quality of the controller is really good. It feels heavy and premium when holding. I'm a huge fan of the "mouse click" ABXY buttons, it reminds me of an old Razer controller I had for my Xbox 360 years ago. The sticks have excellent tension, much better than the Ally's built in sticks. I prefer the D-pad here to the official Xbox controller one, it just feels so much more like a traditional D-pad. The hall effect triggers feel nice, and there are trigger stops that are good for shooters.Overall for the price it's not just an excellent alternative to the Xbox controller, but an excellent controller in it's own right.

When I opened the box, I was expecting to hate this controller. I was wrong.I'll start with what completely put me off at first. The d-pad. It's a round pad that is slightly lifted, and pivots sort of like a joypad. When I started to use it though, I was surprised. The d-pad is clicky. There are tactile switches under the directions. The pivoting, amazingly gives great directional separation. There are zero accidental diagonals. The joysticks are TMR, which are supposed to be better than hall-effect. What I know, is that they are responsive and accurate. They rated 99.97% accurate in my tests. The face buttons are switches as well giving you nice tactile feedback. The shoulder / bumpers are nice and clicky. The triggers are hall-effect, with hair trigger mode activated by two switches on the rear of the controller. There are two programmable buttons on the back of the controller. There is a turbo function for those that use it.The controller is plain white with red led lights that light up and flash when the controller rumbles. You can turn them off. The controller has the ability to charge via a dock, but sadly this is a separate purchase, and I couldn't find a listing for one on their Amazon storefront. The controller comes with a 2.4ghz dongle for PC, but also supports Bluetooth mode, and can connect to Android and Switch. The pairing process is simple and explained clearly in the instructions. It's price is less expensive than comparable controllers, and as of the time of this review there is a coupon available that drops the price even lower. This is a definite must buy if you are looking for a good third party controller with some pro level features.
