I don't know what kind of crazy stuff my family does in the bathroom but the toilet seat was always coming loose. This thing is holding strong and attaches so securely that I don't see how it could ever come loose! I installed it over a bidet attachment and it went perfectly! I'm not handy and installation was super easy, besides the fact that I don't really enjoy working on my toilet! Lol! If you're looking for a nice and sturdy toilet seat that is really very reasonably priced, you can't go wrong with this one. :)

This is a toilet seat, as you might guess, but it stands apart from many popular models from the big box stores. If you have little boys in the house, or big boys with poor aim, this toilet seat has less areas for urine to be trapped in and create foul odors. It is not perfect and will need disassembly from time to time for cleaning but not as much as "new fangled" seats with contraptions made for quiet closure.This is a solid seat, not flimsy and bendy. Sit and feel confident, do your best browsing and youtube watching from a sturdy throne. I even got mine at a discount from Amazon Warehouse. It was obviously used or installed (probably wrong size) but it was nothing a wipe down with bleach couldnt fix.

Thot I ordered the slow close but am pleased with the sturdiness when sitting on it with the lid closed.Easy to install and looks like it won't loosen.Will update, if it does.

I cannot tell you how excited I am to finally have a toilet seat with a lid!!! Haha I know that sounds a little odd, but I moved into an apartment approx 10 months ago & my toilet did not have a lid, just the seat!!! I'm a "lid down" kind of person, that is borderline OCD about it, soooo the last 10 months have been extremely taxing on my "bathroom nerves", to say the least!!! Anyhow, I received my new seat today and installed it in less than 5 minutes!!! It took me longer to get the old one off, I think, lol. To be fair, I had watched the video on how to install it when I ordered it, so I was prepared. It was soooo easy to install!!! I haven't actually "used" it yet, but I did sit on it and it appears very sturdy. I gave this 5 stars on comfort because the relief I feel just walking in my bathroom and seeing the lid down is actually worth 10 stars!!! Also, I wasn't expecting the quality seat that it appears to be. For some reason I thought it was going to be plastic, which would have been fine, but it is so much nicer!!! I did read reviews before I ordered and saw where some had problems with the seat cracking. I will definitely update this review if I have any issues like that, but for now I am VERY happy with my new seat and have been guzzling water to hurry the testing process along!!! Haha Just kidding .... it's sweet tea!!! Hahaha Oh yeah, as far as shipping goes ... It was supposed to arrive "next day" (Prime) but for whatever reason it was delayed, which was somewhat disappointing (refer back to OCD lid issues - lol) but it did arrive the day after it was supposed to, so it really wasn't THAT bad. I'm just glad to have it now!!!!!

This review is only based on 1st impression & it may behave better later.Installation was simple. It's sturdy enough, but it's not 100% rock solid and it's a little bulkier than should be necessary.There's a Bemis logo under the lid, which stares at you every time you use the toilet. I think that is dumb and ugly.The hinges are sticky & bouncy. If you put the lid up, when you let go, it squeaks backwards towards the bowl and wobbles in the air, hovering. If you put the seat up, when you let go, it squeaks back towards the bowl. That's what my 2nd image shows.If you put the seat down, the lid follows it downwards somewhat.This doesn't stop the lid from working for its primary purpose, but it's fiddly and irritating. You need to use two hands for something that should only require one hand.I'm hopeful that the hinges will work better with use - it's possible that they are sticky for a good reason and to hold up the lid when people can't push it all the way back.I realize this is nitpicky, but I would be so happy to pay 3x as much money for a toilet seat that really was perfect.
