音声出力が出来なかったのですが，プロジェクターの設定の問題でした。オートにせず，音声（Ｌ／Ｒ）にすると解決しました。プロジェクターのコントローラのHDMIコネクタが壊れた人は使ってください。

No picture/signal on my DVI monitor. Audio signal worked well, came thru the 3,5 mm. And yes, I used a USB power adapter (5w) to power it up.Returned it and got a refund.

I have an old computer monitor that only takes VGA and DVI. I wanted to plug in a Roku or Chromecast to use when working out. This plugged in and instantly worked to get my Chromecast displayed. The picture quality and sound quality are what you'd expect from a computer monitor, but they both work well with this cable. Another plus is that when I turn off the Chromecast (or put it in sleep mode) the monitor recognizes the lack of input and goes into sleep mode - this cable does not provide a constant data feed keeping the monitor on.I intended to get a Roku that has a female HDMI port, so to plug in my Chromecast (which only has a male HDMI plug) I did need to get a female-female HDMI adapter. That's the nature of the cable I bought so no complaints here, and it still works.It does cause the monitor to display a resolution that is slightly different from the Chromecast, so the image is stretched just a little, but it's not enough to notice when watching. Overall very happy with this purchase.

It works perfectly with my setup. I have an old VGA monitor that I wanted to connect to my mini PC with only HDMI ports. I’ve tried a couple HDMI to VGA cables before but nothing worked. Turns out I needed a HDMI to VGA cable that is USB-powered and it works perfectly! Save yourself time and buy this cable if you’re looking to convert HDMI to VGA.

The item's clear description on Amazon led me to purchase this HDMI to VGA cable and it took just two minutes to hook up the laptop to the tv and select source via remote control. Movies and images are much crisper and clearer now on my 20 year old Samsung. I'm happy as a pig in ......

The screws were too large for the port on the back of my cameras dvr thing, and it ripped both screws out of socket. It gripped the port's screws too hard and wouldn't let go without me using plyers.Didn't even work once plugged in, so literally just broke my stuff and that's it

Perfect! I have an HP all-in-one desktop PC. It fell off my monitor stand one day and the screen was damaged to the point of being unusable. It's not very old so I didn't want to spend the money to buy a new one. I found a used Acer monitor at a thrift store for $3, and ordered this cord to hook it up to the PC. I put the all-in-one under my desk and set the Acer monitor on top of my monitor stand. It worked great and I can use my computer again! Cord length was perfect. Picture and sound are perfect. Hook-up was self-explanatory and easy: Hook the vga end up to the old thrift store monitor, and hook up the HDMI, USB, and audio up to the all-in-one pc. It is annoying that it takes up a USB space, but I can buy a USB extender if needed so that's not a deal breaker.

Numerous users of the new Macbook Air have reported problems using an external monitor. After reading reviews on various adaptors, I decided use my Apple TV device with HDMI output for an interface to an old VGA monitor. Provided you first hook up the USB connector to a power source to overcome the 'low power HDMI' challenge the Apple TV device has, and validate the connection computer to Apple TV, you're in business. I had the Macbook connected to the Apple TV/monitor for several hours and the connection was stable, with good quality video.

Works very well. One issue: I didn't notice an instruction on the outside of the plastic bag it's packed in, and I couldn't guess why it had a seemingly extra USB plug on a cable from the device, so I left it hanging unplugged to anything for the first trial and the connection didn't work - the monitor screen remained black. Hmm... then I remembered that the device has an adapter circuit board inside the VGA plug housing. Aha! the circuit needs power! The USB plug probably is meant to supply power rather than having a 'wall wart' to house wall power. So I plugged it into a USB recharger (which is plugged into the wall power) and YES it works a charm. I also tried plugging into a USB port on the computer and that works as well. Good product - thanks BENFEI !

I'm very grateful for the details on this ad and other similar items that indicated that for some devices an additional power source might be required for the cable to work. So I bought this one because I have a MacBook Pro and wanted to connect an old LCD monitor via dongle. I plugged in the cable VGA to HDMI on the dongle and it didn't work. Then I connected the additional power line to a phone USB charger plug and my monitor sprung to life ! :-) The display isn't perfect, it blurs when I scroll, but I'm assuming its because the monitor is rather old. Its absolutely fine with normal window activity and much more confortable than looking down at the laptop. I recommend this product as the extra power and sound cables make it more flexible for different devices.

Tried to use this with a Viewsonic VGA VA 702b monitor. Couldn't get a picture until I plugged in the USB and audio adapter on the PC end (a Lenovo ThinkCentre M700 Core i7-6700T with HDMI only). The monitor doesn't have speakers, so what looks like an audio adapter may not be important. Definitely need to plug in the USB cable into a USB port on the PC end.
