It works good, and I like that the back rest folds forward. I carry a large suit case the the back seat of my bike on trips. I was able to access the main compartment of the suit case even mounted on my bike by folding the back rest forward. It also holds my gloves between the back rest and my luggage at gas stations during fill ups and break time. I really enjoy it for touring. Just coming off a 3,600 mile ride.

Purchased this backrest for my 2017 Harley Road Glide Special. Installation was very simple. I had to adjust the set screw located on the back of the backrest to tilt the backrest backwards. Out of the box and once installed it leaned forward pushing me toward the handlebars. Following this adjustment made the ride so much more comfortable. The only recommendation I would make would be to make that adjustable set screw a little longer. Use Loctite blue thread Locker on that set screw if you have to adjust it.
