These beetle spin lures have been my go to cheap lure for years. If I could only have one lure, it would be a beetle spin. I use this lure almost every outing for perch, bluegill, bass and I regularly catch an unwanted pike with a beetle spin. Biggest bass was 4lb. Biggest pike was 3lb. I generally put a small frog like rubber with dangly legs on the jig head and fish hit it hard. Amazon had these for half the price of retail stores so I bought 2 handfuls. These are great for kid's fishing rods. Guaranteed they'll catch a sunfish or rock bass off the dock and they don't cost a fortune when they lose them.

You get one beetle spin pack for $5.90, not four. The description is very misleading, "Includes 4 beetle spins per pack". Sounds like you should get 4 individual beetle spins including the spinner, but you are getting one beetle spin with four rubber worms (as the picture suggests). You can get these at Walmart for like $1.50 each, complete ripoff. I would send it back, but not worth my time and effort.

I've used BeetleSpins for 30 years, thats a lot of fishing, and this is one of my all time favorite lures; use it mostly for smallmouth on northern Ontario lakes. That being said, something has obviously changed at the Berkley/Johnson BettleSpin factory. They must be using inferior metal because every single lure this summer has resulted in a bent hook, and in a couple instances a broken spinner arm (rarely seen on any lure). Every single med to large fish resulted in the same bending hooks. That NEVER used to happen. I bent back a few, but that just weakens them more. I bought off of Amazon, Cabelas, and Walmart over the last 2 years with similar and increasingly bad results. Bend, bend, BENT!I now fashion my own lures using quality jig hooks. More expensive, but they last.
