I purchased this balance beam for my budding gymnast and it's great! It's a soft foam so if you are looking for a true balance beam this is not for you but if you want something that you can easily move, do flips on, or just improve balance this is the one! It's lasted through lots of usage without showing any signs of wear! It's an affordable option for home use! I love that it folds to half it's size so we can put it away easily when not using it!

We bought this for my ten year old who is not a competitive gymnast, but who does compete at an intramural level. She loves this-- like another reviewer said, it has a little more give than a traditional beam, but for perfecting moves at home, you can't beat this at this price point. As a busy mom of four, I like that it is foldable and easy to tuck away under a bed or in a closet. The more professional practice beams require it to always be at the full 9FT length. Fun for the whole family!
